I am very sad to ask for help like this but my cat Peppermint passed away yesterday at 2:45 AM unexpectedly after being diagnosed with pancreatitis.
She became very ill on the 6th when we noticed she wasn't drinking any water or eating any of her food. We initially took her to our regular vet where she was suspected to have a severe UTI, but when we went home with antibiotics and noticed she wasn't getting better, we took her to the emergency vet where she was diagnosed with pancreatitis. We went through with treatment because she was suspected to survive as long as it was taken care of immediately, but at 2:45 AM on the 8th we got a call saying that food would not go to her stomach and that she would not make it. They explained that there might have been further neurological issues that resulted in her death, but it has not made it any easier. Peppermint was my cat and she got me through some of the worst times in my life. I find some comfort knowing that she is no longer in any pain.
The vet bills are very expensive as you can imagine, two visits have cost us a total of $3000 that my family does not have so I have started a GoFundMe.
