Dracabat

To look at the happy, generally affable dracabat, it might be challenging to see why "drac" is in the name. Very little, if any, "drake" is evident, but that's by design. Before time was time, the dracabat had a different name, and they were counted among the species of true, six-limbed dragons, powerful and majestic. True to the surname "bat" however, there were those among them who broke one of the most sacred and ancient laws of dragonkind, and as a result, the entirety of the species was cast out of the ranks of true dragons. Their bodies altered, their abilities limited, including the loss of naturally immortal life... and their minds, wiped of the transgression. If anyone living knows what the dracabats did to deserve such a fate, they aren't talking. The dracabats don't seem to mind though, friendly and loyal to a fault, they often take public service jobs in society and make excellent friends.
