Hey Nerds Let's Talk OCS

Hello! My name is Ferbulo you can call me Ferb or Faab, anything really. Its been some time since I’ve tried to initiate new rp partners outside of an rp group I suppose? I’m a bit shy at times but times they be a changing and I’d love to meet new people I can write and chat with regularly and comfortably! So without further ado let's go over some things.

Please note that I am an adult that whether or not we delve into adult oriented content in rps and hcs I would prefer to rp with an 18+ partner. As well I am in university. For lit rp it may take me up to a week to respond. I am not forgetful, sometimes it just takes a bit to get the time needed to bang out a good reply! You're always welcome to give me a poke if its been a few days.

I just want someone to casually rp with and talk ocs and stories? Maybe test out shipping with new partners? Hopefully I can give you something interesting to work with, but lets get some things out of the way.  I prefer to communicate over discord and rp over gdocs or a forum! but for the sake of this please note or comment in this thread if you have an idea. I may not get to you immediately depending on my schedule so pleas be patient with me. ;O;  I'm also more than fine with becoming friends through rp. It's hard to stay motivated without some kinda spark outside of rp too you feel me?

I am also an artist, I tend not to draw or commission content often due to my school schedule. I'm not the type to be demanding of content from others, but I'd love to rp with someone else who can toss me a character reference when I need one, so ideally you should be comfortable with drawing your own characters. I will probably occasionally draw things relating to our characters if I'm really into it.

Please let me know what you’re looking for upfront as far as character relationships go! Basically if you want to do story stuff only or do you want to weave in some romantic ship stuff? Keep in mind that I do prefer to multiship via aus when I do agree on a ship. If you are not okay with multishipping, again, be upfront with me. My ability to accommodate this really depends on the character. Most characters I have listed below are single.

I am okay with MxF, MxM, FxF. I have the most experience with MxM and i'm most comfortable playing dudes but i have no problem going out my comfort zone. My characters are bisexual unless I specifically say otherwise so no worries. I'm more concerned about story compatability and longevity than anything else.

I would prefer to avoid shipping with an underage character I would also prefer to avoid student teacher ship dynamics.

In general though I tend to prefer story and world building over romance and such as a heads up!

Good Genres For RPS High fantasy Scifi Medieval fantasy Modern with a twist Supernatural things

Good Fandoms For RPS Fire emblem- I have… so many fe ocs. I have this avenue covered. Pokemon- I prefer gijinkas, I have a lot from my heyday! But trainers can be fun and I still have some old ocs I can dust off. DnD settings- I actually play, but we can do just regular old rp Fable (microsoft franchise)- I CAN DREAM OKAY. I have a whole  rp set up i could dust off again. Anything else? Just ask me.

I have some suggestions of OCs I’d love to give another go down below, but I have more characters fleshed out here if anyone catches your eye! You don’t have to follow my suggestions, none of them are super detailed as I tend to build story with my partner as we go, so if you’ve got your own ideas to toss in I’d be happy to discuss bounce off and adapt. I’m also cool with making a character on the spot for an rp/setting idea if you’re patient with me and I'm interested enough. 

Lysander

Gender: male

Age: late 30s early 40s? Squints…

Species: Rotom Gijinka

Originally he was a rotom gijinka in a medieval fantasy dnd sort of setting. You can probably take out the pokemon part and I can toss him in just fine.

Lysander studies the weather. In getting too close to a lightning storm he was finally struck for the last time, dying instantly. Unfortunately his soul never got the memo (He literally does not believe he is dead.) and so he essentially lived on as an undead. The townspeople however did get the memo and are not too happy that his soul has not moved on essentially shunning him. He’s about as eccentric as one would expect and very passionate about his research. He’s very smart and excitable but often is lacking in tact.

I’d suggest someone hired to exorcise him or just you know kill the zombie ghost man. Maybe a concerned party checking in? Anyways he’ll eventually come to his senses and go on a quest to figure out what the hell caused his undead condition (it was not the lightning.).

Shibirasu Unami

Gender: female

Age: mid 30s

Species: Eelektross gijinka

Daimyo of the snowy province Yukitani which is recovering from a war torn state. Unami is more about economics than bravado. She has a serene disposition which extends to everything she does both in work and at home. While Yukitani was recovering she sent her child to live with her father in a less dangerous environment and her husband passed long ago leaving her mostly on her own in helming the recovery of the land.In her past she was a ninja but inherited the position from her father upon his voluntary retirement.

Unami just needs someone by her side be it a friend or otherwise. An adversary might be interesting? Her setting of origin is basically based around sengoku Japan and i’d like to stick with that, but if you have other ideas I could adapt.

Tank

Gender: male

Age: 20s or so.

Species: seviper gijinka or human

He’s originally a seviper gijinka put i can toss him in any modernish universe and maybe fantasy with some tweaks.

Tank was in line to inherit the family business, a very flourishing investment company. As he became familiar with his looming responsibilities he began poking around the books and as it turned out the books he looked in were not for him to see. He brought up concerns he was met with an aggressive push back and after sticking to his guns he was fired, disowned, and completely cut off from the life he’d known up to that point. At this point Tank is just trying to reassemble the pieces he was left with and start anew. He talks tough and tends to be very defensive but he’s a big dweeb who just needs to find a lot in life on his own terms. 

In various incarnations his jobs are a knife thrower in a stage show (it's complicated) or alternatively basically an underpaid accountant as he actually has a degree in finance. He is a prideful and useless nerd basically.

Suggested dynamics would be a coworker or a roommate. 

Goma

Gender: female

Species: Golem

Goma was made to be the caretaker of a young sickly girl, her princess, by her wizard father. When the wizard was called upon to aid a war he refused. So the faction took her daughter and used her as leverage. The wizard was forced to comply leaving his estate behind as his small society of lifelike golems on their own. With her charge gone Goma was faced with a problem, her orders could not be fulfilled. So she left safet to go on a quest to rescue her princess.

Goma is a big childish idiot and very gullible. As a child’s caretaker she’s also the nurturing and comforting sort. She is however extremely capable when push comes to shove. Also she occasionally nyas unironically I’m sorry I do make the rules and the rules are sometimes bad.

I seek fellow adventurers to travel with on a quest mostly. I’m not really looking to romantically ship her due her kind of being childish in maturity? She’s the equivalent of a magic android I guess so it’s a little weird doing anything more than platonic stuff.

Eliseo

Gender: male

Age: He’s a demon so ??? Old. i'm flexible

Species: zephyr

“The dragon’s hoard” Eliseo upon gaining his freedom from his patron decided that he wanted to fill his void with as many glittering treasures as he could with as little effort as possible. So why not find someone to do the work for him? He’s an impish demon with a loudmouth. But he seems loyal enough if you can put up with him. He's a professional hoarder and he collects anything of value be it objects or stories. As far as other utilities go he's a knack for magic though he's more likely to use it for an escape than a fight.

Basically i’m looking for someone to fill the adventurer role in this. His species is a Zephyr by AHoneybadger and they functionally work as a bag of holding using the mouths of his tail to store items.

I have a sorta fantasy mage looking clothing design for him I just haven’t finished coloring it yet aaAAA

I don't have any specific story in mind but so long as he has a buddy we can figure things out.

Thelo

Gender: male

Age: 24 equivalent

Species: Bervyrn

His entire story takes place in my own personal setting! You can read more about it here even though it’s very much a wip and I’d probably be having you help on the world building side of things to build as we go. We can also use a scifi or a different fantasy setting to the same effect.
Thelo is a newbie guard sent out to Calphran to help investigate the spread of a disease after the entire city fell into a dead zone (an area with no magic). In doing so he’s uncovering a lot more than he bargained for when he realizes the cause…
He is very much a straight laced boy who takes things very seriously! I’d love to put him with someone who’s a troublemaker or more adventurous to get him out of his comfort zone.

Thelo is a part of my own closed species which are a bit of a wip atm. This would technically be au for flexibility of races. Nov Basia is a fantasy world with no humans, but anything else is fair game. I’m also plenty fine with doing AUs.

Kveta Sindel

Gender: Male

Age: mid 20s

Species: Technoctem

Kveta is reserved and introspective. He is an observer, a deep thinker and likely comes off as more passive than he actually is. This is because he has a very low threshold for things that don't interest him be it situations, hobbies, or people. Generally he comes off as a well mannered albeit at times cold individual.

Kveta works as a theoretical physicist studying time and space at a station called “the universal clock”. But lately he’s been trying to experience life outside of his studies back on terrestrial habited planets. As he's quite young for his field he spent much of his adult life in his studies and training rather than experiencing life's joys and he seeks to change that.

For Kveta interactions I’d recommend a coworker, friend, or partner. If your character is not a big nerd they can always be school friends or internet friends that meet up later. He’s meant for a scifi setting with space travel! 

Floris Nol

Gender: Male

Age: I’m flexible on this but 25-40 is my ideal range

Species: human

Floris is my favorite oc! He comes in the flavor of pirate or failed revolutionary. As far as personality goes he’s a belligerent handful upon introduction but is the sort to be well meaning beneath his jabs if you aren’t antagonizing him. He is deeply loyal to those he does trust.

Floris comes from a fire emblem rp so medieval fantasy is the easiest setting I can roll with but i am fairly flexible with this! I'd prefer to AU things for the sake of flexibility in continuity if I'm being upfront! I've got a lot of world building and bg to work with though it just depends on what you bring to the table.

Note that for FE stuff I would prefer to use an original setting be it mine, yours, or a new one, but if we were to use games Awakening or Tellius are the best fits.

Seirvaas Diefson

Gender: female

Age: 26

Species: human, high elf in a dnd setting

Seirvaas is an informant by trade, she gets close to people in order to learn their secrets. She’s someone who is very empathetic and uses this empathy as a weapon rather then forge actual healthy bonds. She’s a very two faced sort of character and adapts to her job and who she’s dealing with essentially, but the real Seirvaas is a deeply pessimistic woman who mostly looks out for herself. Friendshipwise she's a tough nut to crack but give a plot reason and it's easy enough to keep her around.

I originally made her as a spy sort of character for a fire emblem setting! Her class would be thief there. But barring that she works well in any medieval fantasy setting and is very much DnD ready. I’d love to rp her like getting close to someone of some kind of importance and struggling with conflict of interest in developing actual feelings for once as they bond. She’d be pretty good in a political kind of story but you could also chuck her into something more adventure based just fine.

Process/ how this usually goes:

1. Message/email me your order
2. I give you the price and put you in the queue. I will request your paypal email to send an invoice.
3. You agree or disagree to the price, and give me your paypal email or alternative method of paypal payment if you agree
4. I send the invoice. Once payment is received I send confirmation.
5. I will start work once I get to you in the queue. The general process is that I will send you one (sometimes more if time and ideas are permitting!) composition sketch for input.
6. Once input is received I begin working, usually lining and coloring
7. The final is sent, you may request edits.
8. Edits are sent. You are allowed up to 3 edit passes.

Guidelines:

• I will not draw: NSFW. Pin up type stuff and uncensored nips male or female are fine but I won't be drawing anything that is blatantly genitalia. 
• I will draw Mecha, fanart, furries and pairing art of any kind. I’m very open minded and love challenge and variety!
• Additional characters will be an additional cost of half the base price. You are allowed at most five characters in one commission.
• Please give me references! This is so important. Even if it’s a fandom thing it saves me a lot of time to have it already on hand.
• I do backgrounds! But they take a while and cost extra depending on complexity. All commissions will contain a simple background (Whatever I think looks nice which may be a single color or something abstract) unless specified otherwise. If you are interested in adding a specific background we can discuss!
• You can ask me for progress shots, but please don’t ask for one too frequently! I work pretty slowly sometimes. :’(
