A hive that started from the daydreams of a mischievious and well-meaning grub alongside its best friend, a more down to earth and pricky, equally young grub.

But not all daydreams should come to fruition; underneath the surface of a well operational hive buzzing with activity and life lies a darker surface. A surface accompanied by the trickling of water, flowing, flowing down the river bed.

No one pays attention to the sounds it produces, far too used to the tinkling of glass shattering softly in the air, overlaid with the peaceful burbling of the river, flowing, flowing, trickling over rocks.

HEADER

The hive is co-ruled by two moths, Cody and Cascade. The two work together as co-leaders to lead their hive towards prosperity by establishing goodwill amongst neighbouring hives and allocating jobs for each member to carry out and aid the hive in. Their harmonious teamwork is vital in bringing out the best potential the hive has to offer, as well as expend with the new blood that both leaders bring in through a mixture of charisma, wit and charm.

Under the surface

Cody, while well intentioned and caring, can be close minded and horrible with accepting things xe don't understand. This causes conflict with other hive leaders and members of xer own hive, conflicts that Cody gladly sweeps under the rug went the opportunity arises. The goofball persona xe maintains to put others at ease from xer gradual changes has always had cracks from the beginning, cracks that widen and grow by the day. Cracks that more moths are starting to see. Xer relationship with other high ranking moths consists of a mix of wary respect and fear now, respect forced and fear pronounced. Cody doesn't understand why. Xe has always been like this. With many eyes and a grin that doesn't suit xer face and a penchent for sneers and honest cruelty.

Cascade would rule with an iron fist if she could. Strong and regal, Cascade is an excellent manipulator and adept at pinpointing a moth's strength, even if it isn't said moth's interest, much to her exasperation. Her adamant refusal to remember uncomfortable topics and truths regarding herself is a focal weak point that she's determined to protect, giving her a deadly secret no other moth knows about, not anyone in the hive, and certainly not her co-leader. The same can't be said about past moths who have known her... Moths that she's taken care of to ensure that they will either never remember or ever consider even breathing a syllable of it to anybody else.

Finances

Every working moth is responsible for bringing in nectar and resources that are then evenly distributed amongst the hive with extras given to those who request it. The collective bank can be freely accessed by the whole hive, with each and every purchase carefully noted and recorded down. Woe to those who attempt to lie or steal, an act that is prohibited from the very start and warned about to every newcomer.

The enforces

Hikaku will never look as scary or frightening as his job requires him to be, but he makes up for it with smarts and his sharp tongue. The unlucky hive accountant, Hikaku is in charge of tallying and summarising the hive purchases, income and expenses for every month and to design a plan to be put into action during the next month to improve spending and budgeting accounts. This moth rarely sleeps and can be found nursing his acerbic temper near the end of the month.

Obito, the round fluffy mound that he is, can be most commonly found snoozing under leaves or bodyily threatening unlucky spendthrift souls belonging to the hive. The brawn to Hikaku's brains, Obito is nonetheless equally sharp, if lacking in the sharp tongue department. This moth's soft spoken manner is often missed when he's on the job ensuring a miscreant's compliance. It's instead noticed during his second job as a pleasent receptionist, the sweet charmer customers of the shop know him as.
