Their continent is predominantly warm, but not without its cool regions. It's a smaller landmass, perhaps the size of Norway and just as pockmarked with sea channels and inlets. Its watery edges create jagged borders, dotted with coastal sealife and the more adaptable land species. Here, a select number of intelligent dragon races can be found, making their living amongst the tides, turf, and trees of their land.
A varied and unusual group, the Viridae consist of a subset of dragons with vastly differing genetics. Their only definitive shared trait is the presence of plant life sprouting from their bodies. Diverse genetics equals diverse temperaments, and they live loosely solitary lives amongst the dense jungle.
The far more bountiful cold weather species of the continent. Friendly, curious, and adaptable, they get along swimmingly with their fellow peak-dwelling neighbors, the CloudWings.
A highly magical race known for their mastery and dedication. Their delicate frame belies a magic-imbued resilience to both combat and the elements alike. Somewhere rare, but can be found anywhere.
High altitude, high spirits, highly communal. A very fastidious and traditional society. Found atop jungle mountain peaks and misty alpine tundras.
Large, bold, dangerous. Uniquely fiery amongst a continent of water- and air-aligned races. Found in forested savannahs, mountain steppes, dormant calderas, and volcanic fields.
A rather abundant seafaring species known for their friendliness and trade. Found in every layer of the ocean but for the very deepest trenches. Also found in coastal habitats.
Reef dwellers who spend very little time above the waves. They're a bit of an enigma to most other races. Found in low- to medium-depth oceans, hunting amongst schools and cultivating the ocean floor.
Cold weather dragons that exclusively inhabit the highest and coldest of island mountains to keep in prosperity with unfiltered starlight. Often live in snowbound territories as a result. A small population, they primarily keep to themselves, though one can spot an aspic descending to trade or travel from time to time.
A hardy and adaptable desert-faring species teeming with magical potency. They possess the strongest connection to magic by far, but seem to have little interest in advancing their use of it, preferring instead to trade and collect from around the continent and spend their time weaving spells that make their lives more convenient or entertaining.
