Treatise

When a group of amateur scientists find a book which tells stories about people, animals and whatnot. They all end the same, tragic backstory, being blessed by this certain book and receiving a second chance. Except they are all real, every single story is. Due to this unnatural circumstance, a particular group of higher beings want to rid the world of this book and everything that is associated with it.
