Robin is deeply afraid of Spire, as they are most of the higher-ups. They find themself looking over their shoulder every now and then, expecting to find Spire behind them, ready to pounce. They were formerly trained by them.
Spire was initially hopeful for Robin, but found themself sorely disappointed when they jumped ship for Sem's gang. They've taken it upon themself to destroy the child, figuring it's already too late to properly brainwash them if they've tasted that environment.
Rage. A deep desire for revenge. Vesper gave everything to Spire to keep them safe, and this is how they're treated in return...This won't be the end. Siblings.
Spire threw Vesper under the bus and left them there to save their own skin. They don't think about them very often at all; as far as they know, they're still imprisoned or dead. Siblings.
Winslow is hopelessly, helplessly, desperately in love with Micah. After his parents died, Micah approached him in college and was the only person who actively interacted with him, and essentially took care of him. Winslow is...indebted to Micah. He's under him. Always. They're not together right now, but it's...complicated, now that Micah is his psychiatrist. But they are close, closer than ever.
Micah is unashamedly using Winslow. Disgustingly so. He took advantage of Winslow's vulnerable emotional state and took him in, isolating him, cultivating a dependence. He sacrificed the romantic aspect of their relationship in order to gain more trust and control after suggesting Winslow let him treat him psychologically. They're friends with benefits now.
hear my story, child
i dont know what a sonnet is can we go back to playing candyland
Kierin was a (mostly) good role model for his little sister in her life. The two spent a lot of time together, as he didn't have many close friends. After the death of their mother, Kierin grew more mature and responsible, struggling to hold himself together for the sake of his family...When Carly grew sick, he desperately tried to convince her she wouldn't die from it. Her death was what truly spurred his downward spiral. He has no idea that he buried an empty casket next to his mother, and it's best that it stays that way.
They were siblings in life. Carly dearly loved her older brother and could often be seen stuck to his hip, even trying to emulate his behavior at times...She took great comfort in Kierin when their mother died, relying heavily on him. When she got sick, her only joy in the hospital was visitation from her family. In death, she cannot remember his face or name, but she does miss him very much...If only she could go back.
Afraid...Very acutely aware of how dangerous she is. Often goes mute in her presence, so they couldn't speak to her even if they wanted to.
Sees them as rude due to their society anxiety, doesn't understand their standoffishness is a result of neurodivergence. Mildly irritated due to this perceived stoicism. Your lack of sadism is embarrassing.
Yeah I don't really like Shinji Ikari :(
Ohhh if I had the means. If I had the TOOLS AT MY DISPOSAL
FUCK THIS GUY!!! FUCK HIM! FUCK THIS STUPID FUCKING BITCH! I GET PUSSY AND YOU DON'T!
Nate is fun to toy with, but also painfully casual. Verbally abusive and self-destructive alcoholic fat men are a dime a dozen in Greenwood...to Gabe, Nate is just the human equivalent of cheap fast food. His family is more fun to play with. He's kind of hot I guess.
Has a crush on him and thinks Gabe must be his friend if he spends time with him. Gabe is really mean to him sometimes, but it must be his own fault; everyone tells him so. He also gets his drugs from Gabe. He feels guilty that Nate doesn't like him, feels as though that's also his fault. He wishes Gabe would be nicer to other people, but doesn't have the backbone to tell him that. Just wants him to get along with others and be nice.
Separate them at all costs. Gabe mistreats Franky horribly and is both satisfied, yet disappointed at how easy he is to trigger. Franky is like a broken toy, so Gabe has to really get creative to find new ways to hurt him. He's a little too complacent with abuse for his taste. Ironically? Has had him involuntarily admitted to facitilies before...Not for any *good* reason, though. Either Franky will get hurt, or Gabe can whittle down what recovery he's gained. It's really sick.
Funny and sensitive girl. Despite being gay, he's been tempted to lead her on to antagonize her for her reliance on Kierin and daddy issues.
Hates him, has defended Kierin from him, which Gabe only found amusing, and Kierin embarrassing...ouch. Would find him attractive if he didn't openly antagonize her favorite man in the world.
He's heard about her and watched her relationship with Kierin crumble in real time from the walls...Ouch. Though morally he wanted to convert her sometime, he lost interest as Kierin did, and didn't feel nearly as bad as he should when she was murdered...
Never met him.
Loose friends through Kierin. Sequoia pities her and wishes they could've been closer. He's slightly irritated over Kierin's ghosting of her, but made sure to check up on her through text. Asks her to look out for him, hoping another friend could help stabilize him...Only to be shocked to hear she died not long after their last conversation.
Looser friends through Kierin. Heather has a small crush on Sequoia, but nothing major; she just thinks he's cute and kind, and respects that he's in a relationship. They used to hang out more in the past. She has a suspicion that Kierin likes him, but she's not overly upset by it. She's offered to smoke with him, but was politely rejected. Mostly talk through texting or social media.
They wanted to save her, but they caught on too late...When they tried to meet her, they found her dead already. Damn it...
Never met them.
Exes. Kierin feels unending guilt whenever he thinks of Heather. She wanted a long-term relationship while he viewed her more as a good friend with benefits...He tried to commit to her, but romantically, Sequoia was always on his mind. She mistook his natural disposition as intense romance. It was never his intention to lead her on, especially knowing how fragile of a girl she is. He cut her off out of fear and guilt, both from having accidentally played with her feelings and from having been emotionally vulnerable with a person. He thinks she must rightfully hate him, it's better if he doesn't intrude in her life anymore...When she makes a more bold attempt to reenter his life, she dies shortly after, making him question i-if....was it...his fault..?
I-it’s pwea;, nut bettew jewey twime :((( p-pean.. *sobbing* peanut bwutta jewwy twime :;;(( w-where he at🥺🥺d-day he g-g-gooo*starts crying*
Exes. Heather was heavily invested in Kierin and viewed him as a perfect man who made her worries melt away with ease. Unlike with most men, she felt...comfortable with him, and she felt special in that she could make him open up. When they broke up due to differences in needs, she was distraught, but tried to keep contact with him. As expected, he turned avoidant towards her, which greatly hurt her feelings, but she always texted him now and again. Seq eventually asks her to look out for him, reigniting her interest in him by giving her an excuse to contact him again. She literally dies for him...
Gabe...confuses Finn, and they're extremely apprehensive of him. They can't fathom why a normal...well, 'normal', man would ever want to involve himself with the red room group. Finn is too innately secretive to give him anything to grab onto, both physically and verbally. He doesn't even know why they're there, and Finn would prefer to keep it that way, knowing his perchance of spilling secrets, blackmailing, and wreaking havoc.
MUST. ABUSE. THE. MENTALLY. ILL. Gabe SALVATES at the thought of getting his grimy hands on Finn. They're visibly disordered and he itches to fuck with their sanity and self-esteem. They have only ever briefly met during a meeting in the red room circle, but he can never seem to catch them to initiate conversation! Damn!
Kierin hates Gabe a lot. A LOT. The wrath he feels when he sees him is unreal. He's beaten him up a few times and threatened to call the police on him over and over, but it doesn't deter him. He doesn't see much of him until things start getting weird, which only adds to his stress...He also can't deduce whether Gabe is an ally or not. He's willing to bet not...
Haha, this guy...Gabe was Kierin's former dealer and friend at one point. They might've had a brief fling, but neither party was particularly interested in each other. Gabe, soon enough, started to stir the shit pot of Kierin's trauma, spreading a rumor that he killed his father and sister for inheritance, and Kierin promptly made him lick the spoon by kneeing him in the face. Ouch! That's fine though; Gabe was satisfied with the reaction, and he still likes to harass Kierin. His explosive outrage is funny, since everyone views him as a fun-loving and gentle guy. Kierin getting stalked by serial killers also served as a topic of interest, though Gabe isn't picking sides here...He just wants to make it as entertaining and interesting as possible. May the best man win.
Stay away...Benji has never met anyone as turbulent and confusing as Gabe. He feels conflicted and distressed in his presence and can't handle the mind games he plays with him. Benji is genuinely afraid of him due to how he's emotionally sucker punched him over and over, and he can't exactly get away because Gabe is involved in the red room circle and blackmails him. It's upsetting, and getting angry only seems to fuel Gabe's obsession. Gabe has also pulled at figurative stitches in Benji's brain, threatening to unleash something he could never prepare for...
Arguably his most favorite person to torment...Benji is too much fun. Gabe loves to gaslight him and deconstruct his delusions in front of him, often confusing and upsetting Benji. He also switches quickly back and forth between being friendly and apologetic, to abusive and unrelenting. He harasses him violently to watch him get flustered and distressed, and he blackmails him, knowing both about his murders and that he's in love with Kierin, which Benji won't admit to, but doesn't want him to tell anyone. They've slept together, which is how he found out about Kierin, but the two of them were intoxicated at the time and Benji has totally forgotten, either from drunkenness or repression. Gabe doesn't tell him this, though: he's saving that to blurt out whenever most inconvenient and humiliating for Benji.
Kierin mentions them from time to time, and it makes Sequoia feel wary and nervous, but he thinks it could possibly be a misunderstanding.
Unconcerned with him after realizing Benji has no interest in him. Thank God...
Vaguely aware of her, but doesn't know her at all. Um, she stares a lot...uncomfortable by how ethusiatically friendly she is.
Mink has been obsessed with him for years, back in the days when he was an internet icon. She makes fancams of this 2000s scene king star, but he doesn't even know she exists. She's...really gross about him. Wants to force him to marry her and raise her children. Yes, she is acutely aware that he is gay, and that is unfortunately part of the appeal for her...Jesus Christ, Mink. As a devoted fan, she made sure to find him by any means necessary after he vanished from the net. She gets Jackson to track him down so she can start seeing him in real life. Hi, Sequoia!!!
Florence is fond of Sequoia and is very glad that he's in Kierin's life. They think he's good company and a good influence. They also feel protective and attached to Sequoia to a degree due to their similar pasts, and wants him to know he's safe and welcome here in Greenwood.
Sequoia finds Florence to be a very comforting presence. He's searching for new branches of Christianity to convert to, one that he can feel more comfortable in, and Florence has been more than happy to help, as well as ensuring him his parents were not acting as Christians should. He attends church sometimes to listen to them and often stays after to chat. Will bring them small gifts like bread to split as they talk...He views them as a sort of parental figure.
