Please understand
Sugar Pop Dreamland is a legitimate art project that I have been working on for years. I decided that I wanted people to know more about it and as a result figured that adoptables would be a good way to get people interested.

The animals that are closed species are mostly those from Sugar Pop Dreamland. I don't care about what your opinions are on closed species, I just ask that you respect my posting them as such. For now, I'm only posting Panwalla and Sweetie Corns.

Sweetie Corns are borne of the trees that exist in Sugar Pop Dreamland. The trees all bear candy fruit which falls to the ground once it ripens. Typically 1 of every 10 fruits that drops bears a seed. If the seed manages to germinate in the ground, it becomes a new tree. However if it's been consumed by a Sweetie Corn it will germinate within the Sweetie Corn causing it to become impregnated. The resulting birth will be another Sweetie Corn.

Most of the Sweetie Corns which have been sited have been seen lurking around the Forest of Sweets which is where the name comes from. The few that have been spotted in other realms of the Dreamland have often been referred to simply as Candy Corns. (There has been great debate by researchers as to the proper name, but the belief is that while Sweetie Corn is the proper name, Candy Corn is acceptable.)

There is a rumour that the Queen Constance of the Nightmare Kingdom has a Licorice Candy Corn as a dark sweet smelling creature has been sighted lurking about her castle.

All Sweetie/Candy Corns emit sweet scents often like those of the candies that they were born from and feast on. The scent serves as a defense mechanism and has been observed to calm predators long enough to give these creatures time to escape to safety.

Unfortunately for the Sweetie Corns, it doesn't seem to affect the many sentient creatures of the Dreamland as they have learned to utilize this defense mechanism in their favor during their endeavors to catch the Sweetie Corns.

Panwalla Sugar Pop Dreamland Species

Posted 7 years, 3 months ago by GothicSugar

species: Panwalla
singular: Panwala

This pseudo marsupial resembles the following 9 to 5 world species seeming to be a mutated blend of the koala, giant panda, and red panda

location: Sugar Pop Dreamland
The Panwalla are found all over the Dreamland.

These sentient beings are believed to be the evolved forms of The Forest People which once existed in the Bayou of the Dreamland but have been missing for many years and are now thought to be extinct. The reason for this supposition is that the Forest People were an extremely colorful race who lived primarily among the trees near the Bayou. One day the Forest people were missing and the Panwalla were seen scampering among the trees, their colorful pelts sticking out in the trees that litter the Bayou.

Life expectancy: No one is quite sure how long the Panwalla live since they are fairly elusive. However, some are said to be hundreds of years old.

General Appearance & Variations:

Horned- Horned Panwalla typically have anywhere from one to four horns. Single horned or unipanwalla are rather a rare find. Some older horned Panwalla have been said to have as many as six, but sightings of Panwalla of advanced age are somewhat rare.

Horns typically emerge from various spots on a Panwala's face and curled horns are found on horned panwallas of more advanced age.

Collared- The designation of Collared Panwalla refers to the muff of fur around a Panwala's neck. Female Panwalla are more likely to have tufts though it is not unheard of in males.

Tails- A majority of Panwalla have a long striped prehensile tail giving them a similarity to the red panda of 9 to 5 world; however there are some Panwalla with stumped tails and large poofs of fur similar to a ball of fluff as their tail.  The shorter poofier tailed Panwalla typically have contrasting arms and legs to match their eye markings.

Patterns and colors:

Panwalla are known for their vibrantly colored pelts. It is very rare to find a panwalla with a dull colored coat and no bright markings. Further research is being done to learn more about this phenomenon.

Color distribution- There is much speculation as to the way Panwalla coats colors are distributed and this is still being researched.  It seems common for all Panwalla to have a primary coat color and contrasting stripes which are the same color has the markings around their eyes.  However some Panwalla have socks and or sleeves while others do not.  Some Panwalla have even been observed to have stripes, spots, and additional markings outside of what seems normal for Panwalla.

Height: The Panwalla race range in height at maturity from 4 to 6 feet.

-I wanted to write this out in the same manner as an animal encyclopedia or field guide.

Sugar Pop Dreamland is a project that I've been working on since the late 90s.

I originally posted this guide online in 2012 and have built on and edited it since then.  Evenyually I'll makea chart with all of the different distinctions of Panwalla.
