I changed my username from HJEO_ADOPTS to HJEOJEO

realized i should use a different username for my private account and my usual username for public XD

Here are the guidelines + Terms and Conditions for any and all character design work / adoptables / custom adoptables that I, HJeojeo / HJ Jeong, has done!

• Whenever "I", "my", "me", or "original designer" is used, it is referring to HJeojeo/ HJ Jeong.
• Whenever "you", "your", "yours", "owner" is used, it is referring to the design owner or potential owner!
• "Owner"  is the person who bought the design OR someone else bought the design  and has specifically given it to the person OR whoever was the latest  owner has traded or resold to the person.
• Whenever "official design art " is used, it is referring to the design art that HJeojeo had made, not any additional art made by owner or art commissioned by owner, or art gifted to owner.

This document is organized into rights specific to the Original Designer and rights specific to the Owner!

By  purchasing my designs or design services, you agree to the following  terms and conditions. Please read this entirely and carefully. If there  are any questions or concerns, feel free to ask me via comments or  notes, etc.

ORIGINAL DESIGNER

1) I retain all Intellectual Property copyrights to the official design art and design.

2) I have the right to use the official design art for self-promotional purposes.

• Example: Using the official design art as an example for commission services or design services or portfolio purposes.

3)  I do not have the right to use the design for personal or commercial  creative projects or work, unless I trade/buy the design back to myself.

OWNER

SPECIFIC RULES ON RESALE/TRADE/GIFT:

• You may resell the design but not over the amount you had paid for.
• You may trade the design, but from that trade forward that design is no longer resell-able, only trade-able.
• You may gift the design, but from that gift forward that design can only be gift-able.

1) You cannot claim to have created the official design art nor the design.

2) You cannot use the design nor the official design art in any commercial work*.  

• *commercial  work means anything that generates income in any way or form. Such as  but not limited to: print, merchandise, Patreon, subscription based  platforms.

3) You may use the design and official design art  for personal/private purposes such as role-playing, world-building,  writing, and/or non-profit creative projects* AS LONG AS specific credit  to me is given AND a link back to my website: hjeojeo.com.

•  *a  Non-profit creative project is a creative work such as a game, comic,  printed medium,et cetera that is absolutely not affiliated or involved  in the generating of income/money. It is not a merchandise, nor is it  funded by investors, nor is it funded by any subscription services such  as Patreon. Absolutely no money is involved in the creation or  distribution.

4) You may use the design and the official  design art for other personal/private purposes such as social media  icon/avatars, banners, headers, footers.

5) You may get commissions of the design, however additional art does not raise the price of the design if you ever decide to resell it. 

• (EXCEPTION:  outfit adopts! If you resell an outfit adopt design I've created but  sell it together with a character that wears it, then that is the one  instance where the resell price can be higher due to it not being only  my design anymore!)

6) You cannot make any major changes to  the design. Please ask permission from original designer/ HJeojeo about  what you'd like to change. In most cases it will be approved, unless it  changes the design so drastically it is no longer recognizable as the  design.

7) You may request to purchase the Intellectual Property  copyrights of the design. (The price for these copyrights is usually  200% ~ 500% of the original price)

• An owner who has bought the intellectual property copyrights will be given a contract as proof of the transaction.
• The design will be yours to use in commercial work.
• buying  the Intellectual property copyrights does not include the license of  the official design art. That can be a separate purchase.

Any purpose not listed here, please make sure to ask me first before using.

If  you resell or trade or gift to a new owner who doesn't own a toyhouse  account, simply transfer the character to my adopt account here:  HJEOJEO along with information on who the new owner is.
