:Soul stones and the ponies of Soullires:
The region of Soullires is a place of magic hidden away from Equestria by a barrier that only those with a 'soul stone' can pass though
At birth, foals are giving a special gem called a 'soul stone'. These gems are soul bonded to the one who owns it. They help contain the massive amount of magic in the pony from the barrier and atmosphere they live in. With the gem attached or linked to the owner, they are in a comfortable state with full control over their magic.
Without it, they change into a more powerful form with new abilities, but can lose control and become overly powerful and overwhelmed. These ponies will then suffer the lose of their control over their magic/elemental powers and being in agonizing pain and suffer a 'power crash', which could lead to health complications or death.
Every soul stone is unique in shape and colour.
:Soullires:
Soullires is located east of Equestria. Hidden to the bare eye by a barrier of pure magic, or a pony with a soul stone or high magic can pass through the barrier.
The city of Star Cast Bay: where ponies whose magic resonates with high magics and or those with high intellect live under a lordship
Valioca Empire: Ruled over by an Emperess/Emperor. Home to Fire and Lightning based magics.

Westwater, where water and ice ponies live. Birch Acres, a town consisting of earth ponies and wood. Levandowski, elite city. Soul Shill, capital and home to all sorts.
