Soul Keepers
These Soulkeepers are named after the Greek characters (gods, spirits, people) they most embody. The parents do not name their children until the name “appears” to them, or until the child has grown up and realizes their own name.
They typically form 'family' herds consisting of parents, their offspring, and mates, however sometimes other herds form based on an ideal or personalities. All herds share a common factor besides lineage
The Council: Composed of leaders and important figures, the council meets for a week once a year to discuss decisions concerning all of the herds, and The Gathering takes place at this time where all of the herds celebrate and feast, putting aside all differences. At the end of this week the council announces any decisions they have made.
The horae are attuned to the elements, classically Earth, Fire, Water and Air, but some go beyond this (mud, plutonium, etc etc). Experiencing a wide range of characters this group often helps out with the other herds (providing water, fire, moving dangerous elements away)
A herd made of those who are more closely tied to the creatures/beasts of the world
The youngest herd, these soul keepers are more trusting and loving towards each other, members of the other herds, and outsiders. All around pacifists who have high charisma and diplomatic skills but are known to be naïve.
Those that are able to read the stars and planets movements, and some even predict future events based on these (typically weather patterns, but sometimes more than this)
Those that know extensive knowledge of flora (plant life). Often dealing in healing and gardening, but some dabble in poisons as well
Those who favor battle/brawn or fighting over peaceful negotiations. Would rather fight than make peace with their enemy, however their battle strategy is often strong and they can tell when they’re not going to win a fight.
Dealing with the mind (especially subconscious) and soul
one of the largest and most diverse of the herds but also the most mysterious
Lost, spiteful, or something more, these soul keepers refuse to join a herd.
