About the inyoka
Inyoka inhabited the region along the Kasabania Sea when the continents were gathered together in one large mass. There air was at it's warmest and so they had little need for their fur. However, as the continents started to shift, the climate did as well. The skies clouded over and the temperature dropped well below freezing. Anything that didn’t have fur died off, leaving the warm blooded animals to try and survive. For the Inyoka species it wasn’t hard. They gathered together, banding in a group, and let the snow cover them. Each time it seemed to get too heavy, they would move around, shifting the snow until just a few inches covered them. In that way, they kept their warmth. Those who died off became their next meal, and any creature than invaded their pocket of warmth was made a snack of. By the time the ice and snow started to melt, and massive glaciers started to recede, half of the large population had died off. Still, over the years they had made a comeback, until the humans started showing up. At first they were able to live in peace, alongside man for many years. But greed for power and knowledge made them hostile. Soon they were being hunted for their furs and were driven back into hiding. Only recently have they started coming out again; taking chance to be seen so they could once more live the way they need too. They know, after hundreds of decades of staying away from them, they seem like a monster to the new age humans. They hardly live as long as them, after all. So far they have had few problems and they hope it will stay that way.
