She's always thought that he was a nice kid when she first met him, it was just sad for her to see how he was treated and how her ex talked about him when they were younger, as if he was a burden or something which confused her.
She helped Cain raise his self-esteem back up a bit and pretty much helped him grow considering how baffling his family life was. Not only after hearing about the horrible things Zaidon would do to him and suffering the emotional abuse first hand it was no wonder they broke up. She still dotes after Cain even now though and still worries for him.
He's somewhat of a little brother to her,
Emi was one of the few persons to be kind to Cain as a kid and considers her to be a close friend, perhaps even family. She used to stick up for him when Zaidon and the other kids would bully him, and that led to them spending time together (Cain staying over at her house, getting his hair braided despite it being really short then and other things like that)
Her trusts her opinions now more than anyone and will go to talk to her when he's feeling down usually.
once cain had been integrated into their family zaidon had started to feel very bitter. he felt resentment, hatred, and even jealousy to a certain degree.... and ended up treating his new little brother like garbage
couldnt stand how bright and innocent Cain was, and just how weirdly he now fit into their family dynamic. honestly to him it felt more like he ruined it. Zaidon still wanted to be that only child who had his parents attention and wanted to live up to their expectations on HIS own. Now he had to share the stage with a brother he never even wanted or knew about previously, not to mention it made his parents unhappy having to take care of another child
he just wished cain was gone even from back then, and even now that they no longer live with their parents, zaidon dislikes that they work in the same place. he can feign being nice to him in the presence of others but he avoids him if needed. that doesnt mean that he'll hold his tongue from saying something nasty everynow and then
Absolutely. Can't. STAND. Zaidon.
He tried to get along with him at first when they were little kids but living around him proved difficult. The bullying would only happen when they weren't in front of adults (mainly emotional, the most physcial it would get is a lot of jabbing and pushing) and Zaidon eventually got all the other neighborhood kids to pick on Cain for awhile as well. Besides Emi that is.
Non of the adults ever found out or really cared much it seemed.
To this day Cain still wonders why someone as lovely as Emi would date someone so vile as his own brother. Because to him he truly is an abomination of a living thing.
Their relationship is very strained and tense now. If they must pass each other in the halls then they dont dare acknowledge each other.
Despite not being aware that he was verbally and emotionally abusive to her he still sees her as this perfect manic pixie dream girl or something adn thinks she can do no wrong, and that she matches so well with him. He actually still genuinely loves her and thinks he mightve messed up as a teen but he's desperate to get her back.
She feels only disgust and regret towards Zaidon now, who was once affectionately called 'Zai' she cannot bring the words to leave her tongue without feeling bitter. Was essentially pressured into dating him as a teen, and for awhile actually did kind of like him.
Prefers to avoid him as much as possible now though because it is VERY awkward for her and is aware that he still wants to get back together. Definitely not happening though.
in the older days he'd think of decking Kai in the windpipe for pulling a ridiculous stunt if his soft-side had the will to let him do it. Nowadays he will readily call Kai out on his shit. He's still the more overprotective older brother type to him, and does care for him but he really hopes he can get his shit together.
SD picked him up off the streets and pretty much raised him, so hes both an older brother and father figure to him. Because of the similarity of their skin tones and somewhat loud outgoing personalities they have been mistaken for actual siblings. He can always crash at SDs place when he needs somewhere to go (even if it means getting lectured) but he looks up to the odler demon and genuinely loves him
He never really thought he'd be taking anyone in as living in the slums was and still is pretty hard, and though Kai and kitaki tease him about having a soft-side he will adamantly deny it. He will yell! But he does care for tbn and Kai and sees them as his younger brothers, though sometimes the line blurs into seeing them as his kids. It's weird but not really unwelcome. Being the oldest means looking out for them in his eyes. And he wouldn't take any of the old days back.
Before they found Kai, SD picked him up off the streets and pretty much raised him, so hes both an older brother and father figure to him. After they find Kai the three off them are a pretty tight-knit bunch. Because of the similarity of their skin tones and loud outgoing personalities they have been mistaken for actual siblings. He can always crash at SDs place when he needs somewhere to go and as far back as he can remember he's always been able to talk to him as they shared food, so he's one of the few dependable ppl they know
Grew up with him and theyre very close. The kind of 'siblings' you imagine would get into tons of trouble on their own and blame the outcome on each other. Along with SD, theyre still a pretty tight-knit bunch. Because of the similarity of their skin tones and loud outgoing personalities they have been mistaken for actual siblings. Kai IS the youngest out of all of them but he considers himself more mature than tbn, though they have shared many days sneaking away from SD late at night and sharing food. Nothing but good memories with these two, even through the hard times

He's still carrying the weight of heartbreak fresh on his sleeves and has never hated the human species more for how they corrupted his long-time partner. Uriel, as smart as he is was never really sure if Raphael was aware of his feelings and so he opted to continue his pursuit as subtly as he could (which was not). This only drove the other further away from him.The final nail was lain in their metaphorical friendship coffin when Uriel turned him in. He regretted it later of course and couldnt bare to see him ***. It's said that the following months after that his eyes were red from tears and he barely responded to anyone. It seems that maybe he's picked himself back up..............
There were some mild feelings of interest towards Uriel before he ****** ****, but the brunt of those feelings were of respect, admiration and friendship as they worked together well as a team and pretty much controlled one of the main defenses of Heaven hand in hand. His feelings soon fully became that of something friendly and After meeting Esther they especially left him. He supposes that its probably his fault for not telling the other how he really felt and not turning him down as he knew the other was still very much in love with him.
Theo is very mixed about his father...Of course he never really got to know him but from what he's heard he can only imagine that he was an extremely confident, kind and caring leader of a man. And he wouldve been around if he couldve. But the fact that he was an angel and it was him coming down to Earth that had caused all of this in the first place.......he's not happy about the changes it caused in his life at all. Though a small part of him wishes the man was still around, if at least just to have had that kind of older figure to look up to
If Raph was still around to see Theo grow he wouldve definitely taught him many things! About how to handle the changes in his body, giving him lessons and tips and overall just truly adoring and cherishing his son. Theo was his only child and he literally gave it all up for him. Surely if he was still around they'd be close, the man teasing his son for having crushes on people, taking the time out to tell him about the stars, and just being involved with his life. They'd be the pair to take pictures and have little father son trips (actually itd be Raph insisting on taking pictures tbh)
One of the cutest and corniest couples you'd ever see. They were the epitome of 'wow so this is love... i like it a lot and ive never been happier' and werent really the type to bicker. Esther may be a bit stubborn but Raph could keep up with it by being headstrong as well. They liked to talk about the future, their worries, the good parts, and what was next for them, until the tragedy at least.

Loves his mom to death! Tries to help her as much as he can especially on her lowest days (even htough she tries to hide them from him). One of the most caring sounds you can find out there. Though he can't really talk to her about e v e r y single thing he talks to her about most things and they have a very mutual respectful and comfortable relationship
She adores her son so much and wishes she could tell him so many things. She's just never sure about the timing or how he'll handle everything. And though she wants to stop being protective of him and to ket him grow into his own she also knows he just wouldnt be ready to hear because of that
Lin is well aware that E s t h e r is well-aware of his feelings for her son, which kind of embarasses him, but he's happy that she doesn't mind at all and still tries to include him in their lives. Especially considering Lins own mom walked out on him when he was younger and his father is blazingly homophobic (main reason why Theo can never go to his house) so he feels way more comfortable at the Hunter house
Esther considers Lin to family even with how much he was always over at their house to hang out with her son (playing games, doing homework, having dinner together and a few sleepovers here n there). His feelings towards Theo haven't gone unnoticed as she's sharp, and she honestly supports it. Lin is a very nice young boy in her eyes and she wouldnt want anyone else around her boy.
Aiden think his older brother is definitely the coolest guy you could find out in the world next to him and his dad. He likes to tell him about everything and annoy him with little facts he hears about in his studies, not realizing his brother has already learned about these things. They do get into small debates about things but Aiden still likes his company. Otherwise he only has the servants and his mother to talk to , but its not the same as with Jax.
NVR let these two gang up on you in a dark alleyway or smthn you'll nvr see the light of day again. No but i jest. These brothers are so close and share pretty much everything with each other. Jax adores his little brother so much and prides himself in teaching him the ways of the world. Aiden used to secretly dress up in his clothes when he was younger, and he might not remember it but Jax still does, still he lowkey feels as though his brother looks up to him. He tries to be a good role model, but the fact theyre theyre both pretty chaotic in nature skews the definition of 'good role model'
I have never seen someone who wanted to bong a guy so bad. I mean, Jax is really interested in Akio. Sure he's attractive but it's his aloof and quiet personality that has him interested. And the fact the he's lowkey snarky and always turning Jax down in a polite but bitter way is what has him so curious to push his buttons and know more about him. He has his moments where he's able to finally talk to him though. Their garden really interests Akio so he tries to study up on flowers as well as politics.
Akio doesn't think much of Jax. He is cute but very annoying to him. He's more focused on following what his family says. Making nice with the Akemi sibling is key to a good relationship between their Kingdoms but the boy makes it very hard. Akio isn't dumb and is very well aware of his advances, its just that romance isn't his top priority here.
Hatsu is just as weary around the oldest Akemi as he is around Aiden. But he can handle being around Jax more as he knows when to act civil. He cant help but get a little annoyed when Jax always asks him how his brother is doing. Their conversations usually end in something like "maybe you should just go see how he's doing Jax?" "You're right i should!" "He should probably be in the-" "library?" "Yep!"
Jax has noticed how much his younger brother adores the youngest Che and does his absolute best to keep setting them up together and helps his brother out with scheming ways to interact with the Che family more. If not just to help his brother but to help himself with his on endevours..
Miki was one of the first humans to interact with Kai when he first came to check out the damage on Earth and find who he was looking for. Miki in all his weird glory simply started chatting him up and led him back to his groups base where he was able to get some more information and make some more friends. Miki introduced him to drawing and likes to talk abt any and everything there is that Kai wants to know about how their society used to run. For that he is very comfortable around the cute human and could even go as far as seeing him as a little brother of sorts.
Miki thinks Kai is extremely cool and fun to hang out with, not just because he's a demon and whatnot. Getting to know Kai and try and learn about him as a person is what's really exciting to Miki. Having him try what little 'human' customs they have left is interesting to watch. They rather much get along like siblings and he looks up to him.
He absolutely despises Lin. When he first saw Theo run into the blonde , Lin tightly embracing him in his arms he felt nothing but jealousy and slight anger. Lin is an okay guy he thought at first, but the blonde he was quick-witted and smart, so it took him only a little while to realize the demon had also liked Theo. Kai is caring by nature but annoyed very easily. So for awhile the air between him and Lin was odd. Although what he once felt as anger and envy has gradually subsided into something different overtime. Not quite the same as what he feels for Theo but maybe...just maybe something simliar?
Lin being the guy he is was fine with Kai but he had immediately picked up on his feelings for Theo, making it difficult to really socialize with Kai. Mind you he's still trying but of course he doesn't hate Kai, he's just very weary around him. He's still trying to fix the air between them though but that may be leading to something else
Miki is a very close friend of Theo's. He was the first to really welcome him to the group and Miki in all his shining optimistic glory quickly befriended him. He's always looking out or Theo and his wellbeing and is eager to help him figure out himself and the circumstances between him and the angels.
Miki is absolutely taken by Theo and likes him very much! Theo is someone he can always talk to for advice or just pretty standard stuff. He's not really fond of his shyness at times and wants him out of his shell at every opportunity, and if Theo seems down then he'll throw in a joke here or there to try and help him feel better. There's something about Miki's chaoticness that gets Theo to loosen up a bit
the literal definition of gay for this boy, but he's also Lins closest friend and he would do anything for him since theyve been together for so long. He finds it comforting to be around Theo and they've shared numerous things (like food and clothes), had tons of sleepovers (which he's happy that Theo's mom doesn't mind at all), and can generally talk about any and everything, from shows to games to life. He really likes hearing Theo talk though. Once he got out of his shell he rambles about everything to Lin.
Theo met Lin in 8th grade (and they were in their last year abt to graduate before everything happened, so they;ve know each other for about 5 years). Theo was at the library doing homework and he took a break to read some comics when Lin sat next to him to talk about it. They clicked instantly. Lin was apparently always transferring to new schools and didn't live in the area then. They kept in touch until Lin said he'd be transferring to his school. From there they became even closer, Lin walking to and from school with him, hanging out at his house on the weekends and standing up as best as he could for him. Theo was vaguely unaware he had a crush on him until it was too late.
Upon first meeting him Kai had found the younger boy to be a bit aggravating, getting into trouble just like that, laughing in his face and not believing him when he talked about the angels. But after getting to know him and travelling with him for a long time Kai has grown to like Theo very much, maybe even borderline love him. At times he worries he's too obvious and agrees with what the boy has to say a little too fast before he even realizes, but they've shared so many moments together that he has to keep supporting him and he hopes that maybe one day it will be returned. Nothing like laughing it off and feeling bad for a very long time if he does get rejected though. Ha...h a ..h
The first time Theo met Kai it seemed like everything was happening all at once, too quickly for his liking. He wasn't sure how to feel about the demon until a little later, finding him to be a lot nicer after learning more about him. They end up spending a lot of time and nights together talking about themselves and their thoughts on the future. Theo has grown to really like him and over time realized that he might also /like/ him.
