Rarity sees Red as a teacher that could help her improve her skills in cooking and baking, yet the stubborn boar rarely likes to give out advice. Rarity used to prepare food for Red to try, but the boar doesn't like to give constructive criticism on her dishes so eventually, she stopped bringing food. These days the two barley see each other, but when Rare can she'll go to Red to eat if she doesn't feel like preparing something herself.
Red see's Rarity as a nuisance at times, but also see's her as a valuable customer. She tends to call Rarity "pup" whenever she addresses the teen. Red reluctantly gives some cooking advice to Rare but wants her to ultimately figure out her own cooking techniques.
It's clear that Rarity loathes her mother deeply due to being abandon when she was only a few days old. Rare even goes as far as to disown her birth name her mother had given her and allows only Rhion to address her as her birth name when the two are alone together. Unlike her brother who seen Eshe and remembers what she looks like, Rarity only remembers her mother's warmth.
