SEEKER SPECIES LORE IS NOT REQUIRED TO BE FOLLOWED! Only if you want!

G E N E R A L ★ O V E R V I E W

Seekers are jerboa-type hybrids who are blessed with the power of past or future sight. All Seekers have a Third Eye of Wisdom, which grants them the power to see into the future/past. Because of this ability, Seekers are very rare and sought after commodities for both good and evil purposes. Since they are so well sought after, most Seekers have gone into hiding of close-knit communities that work and live in packs. The creature's ability to look into the past or future is up to the purchaser but they can only do one or the other. A Seeker's Eye of Wisdom grants them a short window into the past or future in the guise of brief visions. The more Eye(s) of Wisdom, the stronger and clearer the visions are. More than 3 Eye(s) of Wisdom are considered dangerous, as they can become leech like appendages that sap the Seeker of it's life energy when used. There are many cases of Seekers that have been found dead from overuse of their clairvoyant abilities, so their powers are heavily guarded from outsiders.

Their ability to see into either the past or future can only span the time period of 5 minutes for any Seeker with a necessary 1 hour wait period between each burst of visions. Pushing past that limit can cause deadly harm to the Seeker. Covering the eye causes a Seeker great irritation, so it's best to have clothing tailored to sit below/above the eye. The care of a Seeker is extensive and time consuming because the creatures are prone to sickness when out of their natural desert habitat. Seekers are omnivorous creatures who feast mostly on nuts, berries, and fruits but will not turn down meat when offered. Their temperament is usually panicky or skittish around other species but relatively relaxed around other Seekers. However, their personality is completely up to you. When frightened or startled, their tails erupt out into a spiked ball and they swing it around like a mace for protection. Other than that, they try to avoid fighting as much as they possibly can as that is their only line of defense besides kicking, punching, or biting an enemy.

Mutant Seekers are Seekers whos Eye(s) of Wisdom have taken over the host body in a sense of parasitism and they now control 40-50% of the Seeker. These Seekers resemble the original design of the first Seekers created; longer rabbit like ears, very large forearms/hands, and larger paws. These creatures have split pupils, a direct sign that the Eye(s) of Wisdom have taken control and are a general alert to anyone in the area that this being is unstable toward the masses. Their behaviour is often erratic, dangerous, and violent when lashing out toward anyone who may be around. They, mostly, have regressed back toward a more feral state and rely on instincts to take care of themselves instead of logic. Those who have Mutant Seekers usually pander them toward cage fighting or bodyguards with one purpose. This is not the case for all Mutant Seekers, but the vast majority of them are completely out of their minds.

S P E C I F I C ★ I N F O R M A T I O N

○ A Seeker is born with a minimum of three eyes. 2 normal eyes and one Eye of Wisdom.
○ An Eye of Wisdom is defined as a third eye that gives the user the ability to look into the future OR past. The Eye of Wisdom is linked to the brain and follows the regular eyes movement just like a normal eye. Eye(s) of Wisdom have all the normal parts of a regular eye, so they do have eyelids and can close their eye.
○ Seekers with more than one Eye(s) of Wisdom is considered to be an Oracle. Their ability to look into the Future or Past is greatly improved from their normal counterparts and are more sought after for their clairvoyant abilities.
○ If a Seeker's Eye of Wisdom gets damaged, the Seeker is caused extreme pain. If the eye heals, the Seeker's overall vision is blurred, including the Eye of Wisdom's clairvoyant visions. Once this happens, the Seeker is deemed useless and usually cast aside because it cannot perform it's designated task. On the other hand, if the Seeker's Eye of Wisdom does not heal, the Seeker will go blind. Once a Seeker has gone blind, they are often killed or left to die.
○ It is VERY important that a Seeker's eyes are protected.
○ Horns are very rare on Seekers and many find the look to be non-appealing. It is often up to taste.
○ Wings are not compatible with a Seeker's body. They are only available as a themed trait for holidays, such as Halloween.
Very Rare Traits are not available for Customs or Base Transfers. They are only available via Auctions and Batches.

Reproduction, Sex Organs, and Mating Season: ( NSFW!!! )

Seekers have live births, so female seekers have regular female reproduction organs. (A vagina for the dim.) The male seekers have a barbed penis, or a penis with soft penile spines that is contained within a sheath. They reproduce similar to cats: When a male removes their penis, the spines rake the walls of the female's vagina, which is a trigger for ovulation. This act also occurs to clear the vagina of other sperm in the context of multiple mating session with multiple partners. A Seeker's mating season occurs two times a year: End of Spring and the Beginning of Fall. During this time, a female Seeker emits a scent that strongly attracts any male Seekers in the area. Seekers may have multiple mating partners but are prone to monogamous mating. A Seeker may mate with other species but a Seeker can only give birth if the Seeker is mating with another Seeker.
