The Eastern superpower of Jantra, Whitehall is widely regarded as the spiritual center for nearly all of the Prime Deities. Located upon the Lone Plateau and backed by the Silverback Mountains, Whitehall maintains the second-largest military in the region and is rather well equipped. They lay claim to all land outside of the Stockade and Karnath, the Lenolian Bogs, and the Great Deadwoods.
Characters who are not currently based in a single location.
The capital of Jorenn, the city of Jorenn itself is the heart of the military juggernaut that is the Jorennic military. Though their military technology may be considered "underdeveloped" by the neighboring city-state of Shenlor and even their rival nation of Whitehall, the sheer scope and size of the military more than makeup for it. The government consists of a military council helmed by the 12 generals of the Grand Army which is led by the Captain-General.
The city-state of Shenlor, and economic powerhouse that dominates the isthmus of Jantra. Though small in size in comparison to their massive neighbors, the makeup for their lack of manpower through their economic might and exceedingly advanced arcanic technology.
While not as inhospitable as the Brumic region, the Gelids is just about as barren as its western counterpart. The Northernmost territory of Eastern Jantra, settlements sparsely dot the landscape with only a handful of hearty villages and the occasional Elven tribe that roams the area.
Out in the Hoarfrost Wastes to the far east of Jantra stands the two-road town of Coldstone. Populated by many harsh and seasoned personalities, it proves difficult to keep order with only a Warforged and Elf as Sheriff and Deputy.
One of the other major city's within Jorenn's territory, Cheseli is the de facto cultural center of Jorenn, harboring a number of influential and popular artists, musicians, architects, and playwrights among a number of others. As such, much of the architecture and layout of the city sacrifices little function for a substantial increase in "form." Each building and park is one of a kind in this city and you'll have very little chance of finding something similar within this city, let alone the rest of Jantra.
The capital of Stol, a relatively humble nation with a mighty advantage through their non-magical technology they've continued to develop since their inception. The majority of their population tends towards Dwarvish and Gnomic inclinations while Brimnes itself is quite diverse due to Stol's Academy of Excellence in the Physical, Arcane, and Social Sciences, or more colloquially, The Brass House. A foreigner entering Brimnes for their first time would find the city almost alien as they're immediately struck by the sheer number of brass and metal mechanisms and devices that permeate the whole city itself; seemingly hundreds of brass pipes expelling hot steam and thousands of meaningless gears churning and working an unidentifiable machine hidden in the buildings themselves.
A rather barren region of Jantra with little usable resources to note. The area is one of the coldest regions of Jantra with the number of settlements very few and far between. Of note, the Kings Keep, a ruin of a bygone era, still stands, occupied by a garrison of the Jorenn's Army Group Frost.
The primary battleground of the Eastern front during the Times of Enmity, Karnath stands as a horrifying reminder of the atrocities and terrors that plagued the races centuries ago. Much of the region still ripples with raw magic and wild energy. Due to this, many monsters and abominations never before seen rampage through the land. As a result, Jorenn, Shenlor, and Whitehall have all pitched in to contain and quell the monstrosities: a resident army group has been deployed in the region by the Jorennic miltary with the support of Shenlor's engineers. Whitehall's forces patrol the perimiter of the region via a massive wall that runs the entire length of the surrounding mountain range known as the Parapet.
Kicma's Spine spans the width of Western Jantra and is the home to a number of legendary creatures and legendary stories. It formerly divided Jorenn and the Tetric League of Odisha until the latter's assimilation into the former. During that time, it was home to the Winterlowes, a member of said league. Now with both of its faces claimed by Jorenn, it is the subject of a number of mining operations that, among other things, directly supply Jorenn's bustling military operations in Karnath and various other locations throughout Jantra.
One of the only port towns still functioning in the entirety of Jantra, Moonhaven's entire economy revolves around the highly taxed imports from Whitehall and Lenolia as well as the exotic goods that can be extracted from the monstrous creatures that are hauled in to port by the local Bone Hunters. Many hopeful seek to make their fortune as a member of a shipping crew are often forced into harsh manual labor as a cutter or Bone Hunter. However, those who stick through it do have the chance to join one of the few crews still working, making at least tenfold what they used to.
The region surrounded by the Jacknife Mountains and Kicma's Spine is formally known as Odisha, the homeland of a large number of Elven tribes. Towards the end of the Times of Enmity, a demonic horde ravaged the region, killing nearly all the ruling tribes of the region, save the Mori's who rebuilt with the help of their neighbors in Jorenn. They now exist as the regional administrators under Jorennic protection.
In the far east, past Stol, lay the beyond treacherous Hoarfrost Wastes. No expedition has ever returned after they set out to find what lies on the other side of the plains of frost and constant blizzards. Old tales are told of people who live in the unforgiving regions but if they exist, they are long dead or moved on to hospitable lands.
The ruined lair of a defeated Archlich from a time long since passed. Known as the Hanged King, the fallen lich kept a massive collection of powerful magical items and ancient tomes that scholars still study to this day..
