Cherishes their close friendship which has recently blossomed into love. Willow is shy and soft spoken, but becomes quite a chatterbox around Lumine.
Loves Willow, despite their many differences. The two are inseparable. Quite loud and boisterous. He balances out Willow’s quiet nature with his playful personality.
Sees the untapped potential in Qiulong. Rowen gives advice freely and assists him when Qiu visits in Otohime’s place. Although Rowen supports him, he’s still cautious around the imoogi, never disclosing information that may disrupt the balance between the kingdoms.
Indifferent to Rowen, although appreciates his hard work in both of their realms. Trusts Rowen only because Chiharu does.
Fond of Skylar’s easygoing personality, Rowen sees a bit of himself in the Fae. He agrees to tutor Skylar’s skills as they travel, showing him how to read and plan maps, how to move silently, and sharpening his dagger skills - defensively and offensively.
Sees Rowen as a leader, and follows him on ambassador missions stated in the agreement with Wisteria Woods’ Queen. He looks up to the tactician, and both can be seen practicing swordsmanship together. Although Skylar often loses these practice boughts, he takes it lightheartedly as a chance to grow and learn.
Greatly avoids the gaze of Qiu at all costs. He doesn’t understand why his feathers stand on end whenever the imoogi is around. He dislikes Qiulong’s brusque and short handed demeanor, which makes Skylar distrusting of him.
Despises the Feather Fae, especially now that Otohime has shown a liking to him. Even though Feather Fae are a rare race in concern of the imoogi, they are to be distrusted due to their lying, robbing schemes from past conflicts. It’s an unfair judgment upon Qiulong’s view.
Knows of Skylar through Elias and Rowen. She is aware of the neighboring kingdom that was destroyed by Frigate Pirates - a known pestilence in her own waters. She is fond of his outward demeanor, and kind, warm personality - regardless of the cruel past he had to endure.
Shares great respect toward Otohime Chiharu and Queen Lycaenidae. He feels like the water dragon gives him far too much for the little scouting he has offered. Little does he know that Chiharu is fond of Feather Fae, like himself.
Feels a great pull toward Chiharu- be it love or magic, he does not know. The pull becomes strongest on full moons when near the sea, often making him feel weak and ill.
Rowen often travels to her realm, bringing trade goods or information from other kingdoms. He’s grown closer to the Queen after being forced to stay in her kingdom to rest when Elias deemed him too sick to travel. Little be it known to Elias; that night was a full moon - when lunar toxicity was at its most potent. It was then that Rowen’s identity was shown to Elias and Chiharu - which she eased with the purification of her Elder magic.
Knows Rowen well, as he often visits her realm in Lycaenidae’s place as ambassador/trader. She is one of the few beings that know of his true identity - something Otohime sensed innately upon their second meeting when Rowen accidentally brushed Chiharu’s hand. She trusts him just as much as her longtime friend, Lycaenidae. Chiharu likes his gentle yet boisterous personality.
As Qiulong’s superior, Otohime Chiharu rules over his kind - as the High Dragon of that sea. Even though Chiharu shows she does care for him, his standoffish behavior and obsession with perfection has her concerned for his future. She openly critiques his mistakes which he takes well for the most part. She hopes that one day, he will learn kindness and be able to ascend as a dragon - as she once did,
Greatly respects Otohime Chiharu, but also festers an intense jealousy of her ranking. Becoming a dragon is all what his kind think about, and he works tirelessly toward that goal. One too many times he has been scolded for not caring for himself, working himself ragged in Otohime’s castle.
At first was distrustful of Skylar as an Outsider, but as Elias befriended him, Oisín was soon to follow. Both care for Elias and share a connection through him. Oisín often hires Skylar for scouting missions or to check in on his northern boundaries - as messengers have a harder time getting through the mountain passes, deep with snow. Skylar’s wings and keen eyesight has earned him a rightful place in the Hart Fae.
Has not known Oisín too well for long, but became close after showing a friendship between him and Elias. Skylar happily agrees to do scouting missions and report to the northern boundaries for the Hart Fae, as it gives him freedom to fly in unusual (and fun!) air currents high above the mountains.
Sees great potential in the young buck as a leader. Knows of the budding adoration between Oisín and Elias, silently encouraging them from afar. He tutors Oisín in war tactics from time to time, as well as archery and agility.
Looks up to Rowen not only as an Advisor, but as a keen tactician. He loves listening in on Rowen’s tales and tactics. He often makes Rowen promise to him that Elias will be safe on their travels, and write home when they can.
Cautious when around Qiu, he distrusts the imoogi. The Hart Fae had always disliked imoogis, the snake-like ways and shifty eyes portrayed evil in their opinions. But as the realm became peaceful, it was shunned upon by Lycaenidae to cast such judgement. But Oisín still sees Qiu as just that, a snake.
Long shown prejudice through the Hart Fae, Qiu festers a unique hatred toward Oisín and his race. Although Queen Lycaenidae has openly stated that such judgment should not be made, this deep-seated grudge still lingers. Even though Oisín has not personally done anything to earn Qiulong’s hatred.
As Royal Hart, Oisín finds himself frequenting Otohime Chiharu’s kingdom, much to his displeasure. He’s not fond of open water, and gets seasick often. He wishes Otohime would make exceptions to his unique biology.
As a ruler of the sea, it brings great joy to see land beings travel to her ocean. The seasickness is all it takes to get a chuckle out of her.
“Take a strong, stoic Fae, put him in a boat, and watch as his entire being crumbles with the waves.”
Even though she relentlessly teases Oisín, she greatly respects his stamina as one of the land Fae.
Is greatly indebted to Queen Lycaenidae after allowing him to seek refuge in her kingdom after his home was destroyed. Freely helps her with missions and ambassador assistance.
Allowed Skylar safe haven from his kingdom, after the Frigate Pirates decimated his home and killed most of his remaining family. She allows free roam only in exception that he travel with Rowen during his ambassador assembly. And to keep a close eye on Elias - who she feels needs the most protection (the clumsy kid!).
Gentle yet boisterous at times, he has earned Lycaenidae’s respect through countless close calls and foiling a coup d'éta. Rowen is Lycaenidae’s closest advisor, and a keen tactician. He looks after and teaches her two young children in self defense and the art of war. Rowen has recently started acting as an ambassador of the Wisteria Woodlands in these peacetimes, traveling with Elias and occasionally Skylar.
Openly welcomes Rowen freely in and out of her kingdom; a rare offer to an Outsider. She is one of the few beings that know who Rowen truly is - after she stumbled upon him injured at the edge of the Far Woods - hair and eyes shining silver like moon dust. She trusts him to look after her children, and encourages him to take them on missionary trips to and from her Kingdom. She is fond of his personality and warm demeanor, reminding her of her late husband. Lycaenidae has named Rowen her chief tactician and advisor.
Indifferent about Qiulong. But it saddens her to see such potential wilting away. She often allows Qiu free roam of her kingdom on Otohime Chiharu’s behalf.
Dislikes any and all royalty, especially those within the Wisteria Woods that Lycaenidae rules over. Although he openly shows respect to Queen Lycaenidae, he sneers and scoffs at others.
Ancient ally to Lycaenidae, Queen of the Wisteria Woodlands to the north. Connecting tributaries make trade and travel possible, sharing a close connection to nature. Chiharu both loves and respects her ancient friend, and that fellowship has lasted centuries, long before Chiharu ascended to dragon-hood.
Ancient friends to Chiharu, the Otohime of her bordering sea. As ally to her land, the Nimbus Ocean brings great wealth of supplies from the south. The two visit each other often, and are great friends that will forever support each other.
Recently named Royal Hart by Lycaenidae. Respects her greatly as his ruler and ‘nanny’.
Protects the next-in-line for the Royal Hart. She’s known Oisín’s father since ancient times, and promised to look after him in her realm when he passed.
Met mainly through the introduction of Daphne. Even though they haven’t known each other long, Elias and Skylar have made fast friends both growing up as Outsiders under the protection of Queen Lycaenidae. Skylar will frequently scout high in the sky for rare herbs and mushrooms for Elias during his journeys. After saving Skylar’s life during an accident, the two have formed an unshakable brotherhood.
Will occasionally travel alongside Elias and Rowen, his capability of extended high flight makes him the perfect scout. One too many times Skylar has veered them from looming danger in the distance. Skylar grew closer to Elias after breaking a wing - forcing him to travel grounded - with Elias healing and encouraging him every step of the way.
Sees Elias as a son, and cares for him like so. They have saved each other on their travels more times than they can count. Elias is one of a handful of beings that know Rowan’s true identity: a Lunar Fae.
Recently started traveling with Rowan to explore the world and hopefully find his roots. Even though Elias isn’t much of a fighter, Rowan has taught him basic self defense with a dagger, and was the first Fae to show him he had talent in horticulture.
Suspicious and quiet around Qiu. They often cross paths while traveling, but show no regard to one another. He feels like Qiu is hiding something.
Dislikes Elias simply due to him being an Outsider.
Often travels over the great ocean that Chiharu rules over. He stops by to trade at the Pearl Castle. They don’t know each other well.
Provides a resting hut for Elias and Rowen when they pass over her realm freely. She allows this only due to the trade and information they bring.
Loves listening in on Skylar’s adventures. They haven’t known each other long, but she enjoys his company. His personality is relaxing to be around; a nice change of pace from the stuffy castle staff.
Has a huge crush on Daphne. Skylar is quite the gentleman at heart, but turns into a fluttering mess of feathers when he’s around her. As an Outsider, Skylar feels like he doesn’t belong in Lycaenidae’s Realm, but Daphne welcomes him openly each time he visits.
Impressed by Daphne’s quick wit and pension for learning. He is currently teaching her archery, much to his chagrin.
The “uncle” to Daphne. Rowan refuses to teach her swordsmanship. But her stubborn attitude changed his opinion and started teaching her archery instead.
Cautious around Qiulong’s gruff attitude. She doesn’t speak to him unless necessary.
Daphne is one of the few Fae that Qiu is indifferent about. Although he still avoids her.
