Something that takes place a good decade or so before the main story (or however long I decide since people in this future have a fairly long lifespan)! Felt like a good introduction to the protagonists, and a peek into their relationship prior to the chaos that ensues in the present timeline of the story. I’m still waffling on whether or not I want this to actually be in the book as a prologue or not,,,we shall see!

tl;dr Ganten is taken in by Sietch Sakhrar and Rayan's daughter is his child warden until they can figure out what to do with him
