🌟I want to share this achievement with you guys, because it's only been a week since I posted "A Friend Like You" (my historical fantasy/OC-centric samurai fanfic) on Royal Road, and it's already received its first review! 🙌 I'm glad I dared to give it a try (after hearing good things about RR in the Wattpad community 💛), since character development, slow building, and researching the historical period are the aspects I work hardest on, so I'm unspeakably happy that they were praised.

The "You do not need to know Hakuouki to feel it" part also brought me a lot of relief, haha, since I worked hard on the introductory indexes (currently available on Wattpad and RR 📚✨) so that fandom-blind readers who don't know the anime that inspired my fic can follow the plot without issues, so hearing that it can be understood, whether or not the indexes are consulted, is super comforting. 🙏 (English isn't my native language either, so that 4.5/5 grammar score makes me feel like doing a happy dance!).

This fanfic starring Chie, Tani, and Kohana (my OCs whom you all probably know since I draw them all the time 😂) is still available on AO3, Squidge World, and Toyhouse, but I've expanded to Wattpad and Royal Road after hearing that both communities are active and used to providing concrit (I'm all for honest feedback 🤝🔥), and I'm pleased that the rumors were true; I keep posting story-related updates in Wattpad's "Conversations" section, and participating in the RR forums is also tons of fun!
