Nnenne considers Tiffa a bit of a mother figure, appreciating her encouragement and company while drinking.

Roman has had an unrecruited crush on Eiliana ever since they traveled together, and has put quite a lot of effort into meeting her again. He admires Eiliana's kindness and loyalty, traits that he wishes he had.
Dominic is Emelia's elder brother. He considers her frail both mentally and physically because of her illness, and as such is highly protective of her. Dominic wants the best for his sister, but he can go a bit overboard.
Emelia is Dominic's younger sister. She appreciates Dominic caring for her because of her illness, but she can feel stifled by his overprotectiveness. But as she has been sheltered for so long, she doesn't know much of the outside world, and is thus hesitant to leave her brother's care.
