The Gemclans were founded decades ago by cats now lost to time. It’s unknown how they came about the current structure of the clans, but they haven’t changed much throughout the times. Territories are constantly contested between the clans, and a strong sense of distrust has built over the years. Border aggressions are forever changing, but with so many conflicting beliefs the clans are almost always on the verge of war in one way or another. The gemclans know many things but they do not know peace.

Diamondclan is the high and mighty of the other clans, supposedly the closest to Starclan and sporting a monarchy that will go on for years to come. They have a very religious centric culture and are often unforgiving of those that oppose their beliefs. They have increasingly aggressive borders with Rubyclan, but their emeraldclan border remains neutral for the time being.

Rubyclan is known for its war centric culture, filled to the brim with large and aggressive cats unafraid to spill blood. They have a surprising amount of history and culture to them, but their increasing lack of respect for Starclan stirs anger in Diamondclan. They hold consistently aggressive borders and are often the ones to contest for territory, especially in the dryer months.

Emeraldclan is a reserved clan containing less fighters and hunters, and more farmers. They have an agricultural based culture and more often than not, neutral borders. When push comes to shove, in the hotter months their forced to fight with Rubyclan over the River in their territory, which has time and time again put the clans on the brink of war. Topazclan is seen as an odd one out to the other three. A peaceful and diplomatic clan that holds elections to select their leaders. They only share borders with Emeraldclan, and their entirely peaceful at that. The clan is crafting and exploration centric, for the most part cats from Topazclan are out collecting materials for what they want to make as opposed to hanging around the territory and hunting for the clan. It’s the most forgiving and welcoming clan of the four, it’s doors are open to just about any cat needing a clan, purebreds and mutts alike.
