About
OPEN SPECIES
Hovering with their air ballasts, they traverse the skies with the guidance of Ruui Workers and Scouts. Work primarily consists of transporting cargo such as supplies or weapons to outposts away from the Center Hive of Ruui Hala. They have intelligence to a small degree, just enough to know that it would be wise to stay as they are in the Ruui hiarchy. Due to a combination of evolutionary and bred traits, they do not physically display much emotion in body language other than with their fins and rudder. Communication occurs using inflated ballasts to magnify sound, or in this case song.
Sky Beasts always have three eyes, one rudder, and fins and nubs of various shape. Their three eyes detect temperature, air pressure and color. The Bubblies have liquid in their ballasts as well as air, allowing them to fly further and higher than regular sky beasts. The skin is of a smooth rubbery consistancy, much like a dolphin's. Their legs are stubby and aren't meant for standing very long. Sometimes they use their fins as makeshift walking limbs, but it makes them look like a beached manta ray.
Accessories
Harnesses are a common part of the Sky Beasts' daily work, and are fitted to accomadate for variencies in fin and ballast shape.Tassels and soft leather excites them, though these are rare and difficult items that aren't often made to adorn Sky Beasts. Most often, the accessories put on them are made of fallen enemy Ruui carapeces. Banner flags are wrapped around the leading sky beast on every expedition, displaying the Ruui Queens and providencial Ruui General. Occasionally Ruui strap banners to spread messages throughout the Ruui outposts as a secondary endeavor.
Diet
They eat small insects by pulling them into their mouth and filtering them through thin, fiberous teeth. From there the insects enter a seperate throat chamber before entering the digestive tract.
