The Cœur Sisters

                When Professor O’Neil first began showing reluctance to work on the project the foot clan took samples and moved them to a lab in Atlanta, GA. Far enough away from NY that it would be hard to notice or trace. There experiments began on a group of rabbits, and a monkey that previously had been part of a circus troupe. The Professor in charge, Orgueil, had a chip on his shoulder since O’Neil beat him to the base formula his hubris made him choose rabbits as his test subjects wanting to prove that the ‘hare could beat the tortoise.’ 

               After the New York lab went up in smoke the foot clan turn it’s attention to the Atlanta lab it’s last remaining hope. In a desperate attempt to prove his worth Orgueil tried to speed his research along with a side project he had been working on a chronal accelerator, a device that could rapidly speed up time in a bubble field. The device not able to properly house the power required exploded destroying the lab and seemingly in the process the last of the Renassaince Copie project. 

               During the explosion, Meeka the monkey escaped and took the fledgling baby bunnies with her. Escaping to the remote woods somewhere between Alabama and Georgia at the base of the smokies. She raised them in the ruins of her former circus within a town which had long since been abandoned. There she trained them in the preforming arts, as well as honing their survival skills. Adhering to the philosophy that idle hands made for idle minds. The girls each honed in on a specific area of expertise, all the while learning craft to survive in the wilderness. Each girl having a survival area they excell at a secondary so that they may help their sisters should they need.

               After the events of Shredder’s escape and the intergalactic attack on New York the foot clan was left leaderless. And in an attempt to combat their growing turtle problem hunt down their last viable option. Over the span of five years they hunted before finding the crew, taking Meeka after she tricked and locked the girls in a sound proof room in an attempt to save them. Due to their superior hearing they learned of their return location, New York. The foot clan assuming that Meeka was the only survivor left, leaving the girls to make their way to the big city and attempt to find and save their mother.
