"Lumen-Lit" is what the mages of this universe are called, named after the Lumen Cores they carry, which are essentially small orbs containing their individual mana they must keep on their person at all times. Most of them store their Lumen Cores in a special lantern for protection, while few choose alternate storage methods. After all, losing one's Lumen Core for too long or even breaking it results in becoming one of the Empty.
