The Vanir were gatekeepers and demi-mortals whom guarded the realm of Vanir/Vanadis of where it is said that two deities, the goddess of wind, and the god of time was trapped. It is said that this realm has lasted for billions upon billions of years, in the far digits, and was some form of realm or rather curse/blessing by the Ancient Cassiun Deity of portals to rehabilitate these gods and their vile hatred for dragonkind. 

The Vanir were in no circumstances to ever let the subrealm of Vanadis slip into existence until both deities have completed their rehabilitation and discovered their love for dragon. A love so strong that it rivals even their ancient hatred
