Synopsis: It's the story of a typical slasher film. The mousy, plain girl is in the wrong place at the wrong time. She fights for her life while those around her die like flies. The killer, deranged and sadistic, more monster than man, will stop at nothing to reach his terrible goal. Only one of them will get out alive. That's how it goes. Every time, without fail. The Blackwood family counts on this - every year, they sic a bloodthirsty killer on a bunch of teenagers to complete their ritual. But Cricket isn't what they expected; she wasn't even supposed to be there. They only got her as a stand-in after the first choice died in an accident, a week before the ritual. They're working with what they have, but Cricket isn't exactly final girl material. Because to their horror, she befriends the killer. Which, quite frankly, shouldn't be fucking possible. They always pump the killers full of drugs to turn them into machines of destruction, unresponsive to pain and out for blood and violence. He shouldn't be able to talk or even remember his own name. Oz remembers, though. He knows what the Blackwoods did to him, and he wants to make them pay. Every. Last. One of them. He doesn't mind teaming up with the dead-eyed, strange girl that seems to be in the same boat as him. And she knows her way around an axe.
