Ardentheart

Ardentheart is a family of Justices and Scholars composed of mainly Fire dragons, known for their kindhearted and selfless nature. Through their practice in law, they help any dragon in need regardless of social status, their nurturing disposition has led them to warding strayed hatchlings off the streets.

While the majority of Ardentheart calls Warfang City their home, the family's roots originally began on land far away from Warfang mainland prior to the 3000's, the Agni Flats. Ardentheart was initially a family of military based trades, though the members’ weariness from constant fighting was very evident, this was only a passionless job to them. While Ardentheart lacked fighting prowess and elemental strength, they made up for this with their wise and empathetic nature.

Still remaining a military oriented family, many members of Ardentheart vouched to serve as Guards and mediatores instead, to help protect their community more directly and help ease conflict between neighboring families to prevent unnecessary bloodshed. Soon, Guards of Ardentheart would begin to pass their skills in ‘reading dragons’ to those young and old within the family, to teach them how to read a dragon's body language and vocal patterns to not only hone in on what was bothering them, but to also be able to decipher if one is lying.

Over the years, Ardentheart slowly changed their trade from military services to more domestic occupations, specializing in laws to provide more aid to those in need regardless of status; some members of Ardentheart chose to remain in the military after the trade change however.
