Centuries of exploitation and overproduction eventually has its consiquences. The world has changed beyond recognition, majority of its land-mass flooded by the ocean and its skies often ravaged by storms and volitile climate shifts. The population was forced to retreat below, or the ones that could afford to anyway.. most were not so lucky.
Ren finds himself amongst those stuck on the surface. Trapped in an abusive home, stuck in a shitty retail job with a shitty boss, he earns just enough to survive... With all that to deal with already, getting tied up in the bussiness of mimics was really the last thing he wanted.
A lot of these characters were originally from my story Foreign, before the re-write in 2021 - I don't work on this story an awful lot (Foreign in my brain always) and it's still in very early stages of development.
No seperate sections yet cause this story is in such early dev. They are ordered however by most to least relevant... or like main characters to background characters.
