Arkillians [CS]

ARKILLIANS : This folder contains all of NoireNambu's characters relevant to the overarching headworld/species.

Arkillians are a (formerly) very-powerful species of starfaring humanoids. They have with four arms, horns, spotty, colourful, desaturated skin, and sharp quills which are capable of secreting venom when an Arkillian feels threatened. They also have a savage and terrifying beast-form, which makes them quite the formidable foe in combat. However, in their hubris, the Arkillians made a lot of enemies and their homeworld was destroyed.

A very large freighter ferrying the species' sole survivors happened their way to Earth, and although initially they sought asylum, both parties - Human and Arkillian alike - escalated negotiations beyond the point of a civil debate, and turned it into a brawl over the planet. 

Humanity found themselves outgunned, in the end, and those who were wealthy enough to escape considered Earth a wash. They abandoned their homeworld in favor of colonizing Mars, 'dooming' billions to whatever end befell them. During the retreat, Earth's military forces were able to due a substantial amount of damage to the Arkillian ship, bringing it crashing down.

 While many Humans and Arkillians alike were killed in the excursion, the remaining members of both species are generally civilians - those who were merely caught up in whims of their leaders. Although occasionally there is friction between the various species now inhabiting the planet, it is generally understood by all that working together is the only way they can begin to rebuild what has been lost.
