Gryphlings [CS]
GRYPHLINGS : This folder contains all of NoireNambu's characters relevant to the overarching headworld/species.
Gryphlings are a type of Faerie, or Fae; They are pygmy-sized, sapient griffin-folk, whom live in the forests of the fabled fae otherworld, beneath enchanted earth burrows - more commonly known as Sidhe.
They tend to live together in small villages or communes, hunting and farming and learning various trades. They are largely peaceful, but are quick to defend themselves;
Since they are such a small Faerie folk, they can be leery of bigger, stronger, more malevolent Fae, and non-magical beings who exist outside the protection of the Sidhe. But the plight which threatens them most is a monstrous seadrake, by the name of Stoorwyrm - a once powerful entity, defeated by man, who gobbles up tiny Fae in order to regain his strength. He has an unending appetite, and particular taste for Gryphlings.
Because of this, Gryphlings can be very secretive and keep the ley of their communities hidden. They will generally only keep company with Fae of their own stature or smaller, and rarely venture far outside of their communities, except to trade and barter, or to hunt for food.
