Zeru was adopted into Elise's family as a baby. He and Elise used to tease each other all the time growing up. Leaving her and his father was one of the hardest things for him when he became a dragon. He was afraid to ever return to them in the future in fear of hurting them, but is glad that he did get to see them again.
Zeru is Elise's adopted brother. She loves him very much, and is very grateful that he was alive and able to return home to her and their father. She is a little nervous about who he has become, but still trusts him.
Zeru has no formal knowledge of Vyndr'rok, aside from a few mentions in old stories that he wouldn't think twice about.
He has unknowingly glimpsed into Vynnie's memories, however, and has had its thoughts cross his mind.
Vyndr'rok gave up its original form and life after growing extremely weak, in order to reincarnate and regain strength in a new body. However, its attempt at this did not go as planned, and its reincarnated form became mortal. This new form also lived out its own life as a human/elf boy named Zeru. Vynnie's old ways still stir sometimes, though...
her extent of knowledge is that he's Psavine's parent, and he can provide medicine
Doesn't know Keàrsy personally, but she seems like a fine individual.
Iniquitous would like to be on closer terms with his child's worshipers, but fears he'll just intimidate everyone or reveal a bit too much information due to being a chatty creature. Oh well!
Wren is Nymph's great-great-grandson. Wren's grandmother (who lives with his family) would sometimes mention their family's unusual bloodline, but Wren never assumed it included anything non-human.
Nymph is Wren's great-great-grandmother. She is not aware of his existence.
Keàrskoll holds great respect for Hravulfr, and is proud to be a member of his crew, though they haven't spoken much on a personal level. She had previously held work with a lot of unsavory men who didn't respect her or her ability to work as a part of the crew, so she does her best to prove herself useful even though Hravulfr has told her she doesn't need to overwork herself to prove that.
Hravulfr doesn't have a lot to say about Keàrskoll. They haven't interacted much, but Hrav feels considerable responsibility for his crew members and especially the ladies in his crew since they had to be subjected to some awful men who thankfully did not go near them (although Hrav threatened them a lot).
Though he has not particularly hung out with the ladies personally, still appreciates their work for the crew. Good work, ladies.
Apparently there was drama but my author forgot
Guin's never actually met Iniquitous!
Harrier adores Calamy, and was thrilled to briefly have him as a pupil. Having someone to teach helped take Harrier's mind off of the fact he was being kept against his will aboard an infamous flying ship.
Harrier is one cool cat and Calamy is very happy to learn any new skill, although is secretly very wary of Harrier as he's seen first hand how destructive the lion man can be and that's a tad worrisome! Not that he expected anything less of pirates, but it just seemed that Harrier was a bit more reformed than a pirate.
At any rate, Harrier was a good teacher, and Calamy enjoyed the time he spent learning about reading and making maps.
Avery is Zeru's childhood best friend. Other children would make fun of his pointy ears, but Avery always stuck around. Zeru and Avery spent long hours getting into trouble with Zeru's magic and other shenanigans, and trusted each other completely. Zeru oftentimes felt down about his appearance or abilities, but Avery usually stood up for him and helped him feel better. Zeru doesn't remember the fights he had with Avery before disappearing, most of that time is a blur in his memory.
Zeru was excited to see that Avery was still living in his old town upon finally returning. He doesn't like the views Avery holds, but he still holds a lot of trust in his friend even after time apart. Not with his biggest secret, however. He doesn't know how Avery would react upon learning it, and isn't keen on finding out.
Avery and Zeru were very close as children; Avery was one of the only children in their age range that would play with Zeru. Avery was always quick to defend Zeru, even when his own parents spouted bigoted remarks about elves and other non-human species. Unfortunately many of their views stuck in his head, but he never directed them toward Zeru.
Just before Zeru's disappearance, Avery and Zeru's relationship had grown a little rocky. Zeru was behaving unusually and had lashed out at Avery on more than one occasion. In their last meeting, Zeru clawed Avery across the chest, leaving him with a scar.
When Zeru disappeared, Avery was especially upset, given the nature of their last interaction. He blamed himself for his friend's disappearance for some time.
Avery was shocked when Zeru returned many years later, and began trying to repair their friendship. He is frightened by what his friend has become, however.
Jett's been around as long as Ven can remember, and is probably the individual Ven feels closest to.
Jett is completely loyal to the young prince, and would lay down his life in order to protect Ven. As a member of their kingdom's royal guard, this is expected, but Jett is much closer to Ven than most.
