When Drani needed a break from his job, it was Monnam who stepped in and that brought them closer. There is a mutual respect, as Drani realizes that Monnam has experience in sharing resources and mitigating conflict, albeit on a much smaller scale. He is interested in new cultures, so he always has plenty to talk with Monnam about, enjoying the explanations he patiently gives.
Lori has become a comforting figure for Rumei, and though she tries not to guide their “relationship” with Aniri (if so one can call it), she hopes they’ll realize that their obsession isn’t good for any of them. They’re friends in and out of the bedroom but without expectations of a commitment, and they can often be found cuddling on the couch or in her room. Their views diverge quite a bit over foreigners, but they get along otherwise, as Lori doesn’t like making waves anyways.
Their uncle, one of the few people of their family they're still somewhat in contact with. They share similar views of foreigners, and Aniri is hiding from him that they've had some foreign relations. Being the brother to Aniri's father, they try to keep him in the loop as to what their reconnection is going like.
They were the first that moved in after them, and they've been housemates the longest. When Rumei moved in, they forgot to pack any bedsheets so they ended up sharing Aniri's bed. They've been having a situationship for the better part of a year, where Aniri strings them along and doesn't really commit, refusing to go all the way so that they don't get ideas. They still call Rumei to their room when they have an itch to scratch, and they always come running to Aniri.
Deedee and Voros bonded over liking audiobooks, and Voros soon caught feelings though he didn’t quite realize it for a long time. He had Leerali and he should consider himself lucky, so he didn’t try to make anything of it, even if all three of them lived in the same apartment after Aggy left leaving Deedee alone in its former apartment. It was only through Leerali’s intervention that he started calling it his boyfriend, but it still took months and Deedee going into heat for their relationship to become physical. He’s still very hesitant, the two of them being so shy makes everything that much harder, but with enough help they can make it work.
Voros and Aggy’s relationship didn’t begin in the best way, being antagonistic coworkers. Most offensively, Aggy used to bully Leerali regularly, which peaked in an incident where a lot of boundaries were crossed for both Leerali and Voros in a delicate phase of their budding relationship. Voros punched Aggy hard enough to knock loose a tooth or two, and Aggy quit soon after as a result. After transitioning, their relationship is much more peaceful, and Voros has seemingly forgiven her for who she used to be. He is not very clear on why she cares about being perceived as a gender or the other, as he is only he/him because people call him so and doesn’t really care, but he shrugs and tries his best to respect her choices even when he doesn’t understand.
She doesn't know Voxio well yet, but he's friendly and she likes him enough.

Teka was the first person (and so far only) who hurt her besides the occasional veterinary visit, but she never had anything done to her that was more than a shot. Teka found her microchip as she boarded the ship during their getaway, held her down as she struggled and manually removed it. She still has the scar on her arm and in her mind, and though she learned to forgive him she is still a little wary and shy around him, which brought her to pay more attention to his behavior. This made her the first person to notice his OCD compulsions and bring the attention of the group to it, setting up an intervention that didn't go well and triggered a severe mental health episode that left him bed bound for months. The two still aren't quite friends, but maybe one day they'll ged there.

Flower bonded particularly well with Basil, since he speaks sign language fluently. She learned how to sign from him quite quickly, but the others aren't as fluent with it so she still mainly uses chats to talk with them. When it came the time to decide who to follow as the group began sectioning off in pairs to each go do their own thing (Amber and Marley, Ivala and Teka), Flower decided to stay with Basil. Since he used to be a pet as well, she sees him as a guide in her journey to personhood, even if she still has some trouble with adjusting to normal life.

Their relationship has always been rocky, as Kanna considers him her Alpha since before she even realized she had a crush on him. She pushes that responsibility on him, but he doesn't seem ready to accept the role, and she gets mad with him constantly over him not living up to her expectations. Kanna isn't very secure in her attachment to him, as she compares herself to Xarri which she knows is a much better fit for the man, but them living together tends to mitigate those insecurities. She doesn't feel able to be entirely herself with him though, and plays up her femininity around him in a way that she doesn't around Tayrra or Xarri, feeling self conscious over attributes that she considers masculine.
Kanna and Boicha initially took an interest in each other and bonded over being both trans, introduced through Xarri. It took some time for the two of them to develop a sexual relationship, which Kanna was hesitant about because of her crush on Rydeka. After becoming official with Rydeka and Xarri, though, Kanna felt more secure and began getting more comfortable in her bond to Boicha. Even if the two of them never said anything official, she considers herself part of his pack, though she still has trouble thinking of him as her Alpha since they rarely ever speak or see each other. She knows he's always there for her, though, and will rely on him when she needs the kind of Alpha treatment that Rydeka can't give her.
Their relationship is complicated. After Aniri's primary passed in his arms, he was a wreck, and they resent him for being absent and distraught while the family needed him. They were only a teenager, moving away with their last standing parent and siblings, leaving him behind. For years they interacted as little as possible, and Aniri believed that he wasn't reaching out, though it turned out that it was their mother dodging his attempts to reconnect with his children and keeping them away until he gave up. They're trying to reconnect, but they're having a hard time in doing so.
Nyereii didn’t fall in love right away with Joe, but when it started to click they fell hard. Joe is Ny’s favorite person now, the one they rely on to keep themself stable, and being apart from him even for a day can turn them into a neurotic, insecure mess. They’re trying to work on it, but with the two of them living in the middle of nowhere and hiding from the world, it’s considerably difficult for them to branch out. They’re jealous and possessive over him, and don’t like people talking to Joe too much, for their greatest fear is losing him, but they try not to make it a problem for him. Fortunately, Joe is equally as obsessed with them.
