User Content Warning

This user profile has been marked with a content warning:

Hello! You can call me Tian or Yue. Before you get started reading through my profiles, here are a few ground rules and things to know I'd like to put in place.

CONTENT WARNING

I'm your typical writer who has more serious, adult takes on children's series/series for all ages, particularly Pokémon. When I write in these fandoms, I tend to incorporate a lot more real-world issues than there are in canon, especially since I like putting my love of alternate history worldbuilding into these fandoms. Not all of my characters have dark backstories and if you would prefer an OC I get from you to not have one, I can accommodate. However, be advised that the content tends to handle a lot of the following themes.

  • Psychological and physical abuse (human and Pokémon, sapient and nonsapient)
  • Mental illness and trauma
  • Death and murder
  • Colonialism and genocide
  • Bigotry, geared toward both real and fantastical groups--racism, antisemitism, sexism, LGBTQ+phobia, religious discrimination
  • Religious themes, particularly an exploration of cults
  • Political issues (capitalism, environment, healthcare, etc.)
I do not condone any of the awful things that happen to my characters. My work is literally written to call out these things in the real world and bring awareness, especially because I write some of these things from having experienced them (namely abuse, mental illness and bigotry). The stories I craft around these themes are thus also extremely important to me, so if you do not want to see these themes, my content--both fandom and original--just isn't for you. Thank you for understanding!

RULES OF INTERACTION

  1. I am a busy individual with ADHD who is often unavailable. I attend law school, work part-time in an externship, and unlike the many who stay up until midnight I am often so tired at the end of each day that I conk out by 9:00 - 10:00 PM. Saturday is the only day on which I have no school or work obligations, and on every other day these obligations run until evenings. You may see me online at other times of the day, but keep in mind this is not a guarantee. If I forget or take a while to respond to something, it's likely because of my busyness, my ADHD (which gets worse when I am busy) or both. Please respect this.
  2. I also tend to collect a lot of designs. I plan to give every single one of my Pokémon designs at minimum a name, at least one Ability, at least four most commonly used moves, and a Trainer (if applicable); I also prioritize designs I get for free and designs that were previously greatly loved by their owners so people can feel rest assured that their gifts and their darlings have gone to a good home. However, given I only have 2-3 hours of free time every day and multiple other obligations in my online life, given that I am capable of spending hours on competitive optimization and move lore for my Pokémon, and given that I am capable of writing 1k+ words per character bio if I am inspired, this is a slow and painstaking process. Just because a design of mine has no lore attached does not mean I do not love it or care for it, and if you think otherwise and want to salt about it, the door is right there.
  3. Personal blogs, please do not reblog anything from my Tumblr roleplay blogs if you see me linking to them here. This is a piece of Tumblr etiquette that many know but not everyone, so I figured I'd put it here just in case!
  4. I'm new to Toyhouse and to the adoptables scene in general, so if I'm doing anything wrong feel free to reach out and correct me!
  5. In RP circles, my friends and I often gift each others' muses (the characters we roleplay) the fakemon that we as muns (the roleplayers) obtain. If an adopt has no terms of use, or the adopt's terms of use says that all rights of use go to the buyer, I will most likely be sharing that fakemon design with my friends, though of course with credit to the original creator. If this was not your intent, please do not hesitate to let me know and if there seems to be any ambiguity in the rules as to whether this would be okay, I will be sure to ask.
  6. Roleplayers: Any fakemon design tagged as "unavailable" cannot be gifted IC-ly to your muses' teams, as the terms of use for those adopts do not give me the permissions to do so. Please respect this!
