Updates: Names names names

So I’ve been tiding up my characters lately, ridding them of weird and unfitting names that may not fit with their character development. With that, there may be more name changes coming in the following weeks. Notable ones are:

Kryo—-> Ilmari

Eli—> Iilaiso

Rino—> Rinnosuke

Rye—> Rainéra

So the gen 2 Errin clan got updated with better names, but the thing is that their old names are now just nicknames they call each other. When it comes to Kryo and Eli, two of my eldest characters, their nicknames are kinda….up in the air? They were originally named ZP4 and ZP5, then nicknamed Kryo and Eli by the cult, then legally named Ilmari and Iilaiso. I assume they chose those names themselves, or at the very least liked those names if/when given a list by their parents.

Rye and Rino are shortened, bastardized versions of their legal names. Rye has a more Grenian name, while Rino has a more Iyoza name. Starr isn’t Iyoza, but she knows of the culture enough to name her first born after it. Maybe Starr purposely names her sons in non-Nekuiya names, as a nod to their respective fathers. Yes, I know Emri doesn’t deserve that honor, but Starr still loved him around the time she gave birth to the twins; or was at least unhealthily attached to Emri.
