Himitsu

Himitsu (ひみつ) is about trauma and breaking a cycle of abuse spanning generations. It's about how those generations of abuse compound on each other, and the subtle ways it grows through a family tree.

Himitsu is a story about three brothers and their secret.

(Himitsu was originally based off of the yaoi genre, interrogating the cliches and tropes of a genre infamous for exploiting and sexualizing trauma narratives. It interrogates these ideas through the lens of an authentic, own-voices queer trauma story. However, being so heavily inspired by Japanese culture/media, I don't feel like it's my place to tell this story as is. Unless I re-envision it, this story will never seriously be pursued.)
