Intimidated and threatened by the reappearance of The Bat; it serves as a threat to The Ace.
The baseman in charge of protecting and running Home Base.
The Ace has loved the Catcher for a long time. Now that they are turning into a beast, the Catcher is the only one they trust to still see them. The fact that the Catcher is a renowned beast tamer also makes it easier...the Ace knows if they were ever to lose themself completely, the Catcher wouldn't likely be harmed.
The Ace's paramour and right hand. Believes strongly that the Ace is the hero of legend, bravely sacrificing themself for the Diamond.
Single-mindedly devoted to taking care of the Ace, especially since they have begun losing their humanity and can no longer be seen by anyone else, the Catcher has begun sacrificing the rest of the Diamond in order to bring the Ace food and company.
To make an unhealthy dynamic even more twisted, the Catcher specializes in beast taming...and the Ace is slowly turning into a beast.
After reading K's blog for a long time, he decided it would be nice to share his good fortune with younger, struggling people with DID and sent her some money.
Has only talked online with E.R. Sys a bit, but is thankful for the money he gave.
Finds K's blog while trying to educate himself on DID, and after a few comments (and a lot of K giving far more personal information than is wise) they realize they go to the same community college.
Manny wants to meet K and have more people he can talk with about DID.
K knows Manny as a fan of his blog and, after learning they go to the same community college, is excited at the prospect of having her own friend.
For Dylan, Lyla is an incredibly large source of shame and humiliation. She makes him feel crazy, is a source of frightening fantasies concerning gender and sexuality, and ushers in a total loss of control over his life.
He hates the things she's told and shown Manny. He hates the situations she ends up roping him into. And he hates the issues she carefully tiptoes around, the repressed memories and truths she brings with her.
As she expresses herself through physicality, she inadvertently ends up triggering memories of his childhood he'd kept carefully buried.
Lyla thinks a lot more about herself than she does about Dylan. She's primarily not concerned with him beyond the fact that he creates constraints on her life; there are many things she can't do because it will affect him, and many issues she has to carefully tiptoe around to keep from upsetting him.
Manny's feelings about Lyla are complicated. She makes him feel important. She unnerves him. She takes him on adventures. She's a window into what it might be like to be close with Dylan.
While his fondness grows for her throughout the story, he spends much of it conflicted and somewhat forcing himself to be okay with her. He also feels a sense of guilt from learning Dylan's secrets from her, but secretly appreciates the new closeness this causes.
Lyla doesn't love Manny, but the fondness and trust she feels for him spans beyond friendship. And she's plenty comfortable being physical with him; even if she wasn't she has no one else to ask for the kind of intimacy she wants, and she knows Manny wants her (in a complicated sort of way).
Manny is both a means to validating her own self expression, and a trusted ally she can be herself with. Lyla recognizes Manny's crush on Dylan, which she uses to her advantage (but also is why she trusts him).
After living with Snow for a time, Allie began to have complicated feelings about Snow. There was of course fondness and gratitude, but also jealousy and yearning; Allie saw Snow and couldn't stop thinking about how, if nothing had gone wrong, they would have been same-aged peers. She began to want to live vicariously through Snow's adulthood, all the while bitter that they were predisposed to a child-caregiver relationship instead of being equals and friends.
Snow treats Allie like a younger sister and considers it her duty to unconditionally love her, without regard to who or what Allie actually is. Despite her good intentions, Snow is irresponsible, overly trusting, and has no concept of age-appropriate behavior; she is a terrible parent who is predisposed to look for a replacement to fill her grief instead of understanding Allie as her own human being. Snow grapples with this by distancing herself and allowing Allie to do as she pleases, but the relationship simply existing challenges Snow's denial. Snow's face and past are full of violent, ugly secrets that she suspects would ruin any chance at redemption Allie could give her.

Being some of the first residents of Strawberry Village, Annie bonded with Yukina very quickly. She ADORES Yuki, and has made it one of her first-most priorities to involve her with the rest of the town and help her have fun. (Yuki is always so stuck on work, and frowns so much--Yuki should be relaxing!! She should be happy!! She should be surrounded with friends and happiness and show her beautiful smile to everyone!)
They probably bonded over similar familial problems when they first moved in, but neither of them bring up their pasts often.
Annie and Yukina are close friends. Yukina deeply cares for Annie and often makes a point to visit her inn when she's done with work. Although Yuki will not admit to it, she finds Annie's cheery nature rather endearing. She also appreciates the fact that Annie does not pry about her home life.
Yuki does not know much about Annie's past, but she is sympathetic towards her based on what she knows. Both of them have had issues (and escaped from) their mothers.
No one knows if they're already dating or just on the cusp of it. Regardless, they obviously love each other.
EDIT: They became official recently!! They are very sweet together and indulge in entirely too much PDA.

Big fan!! A real super hero in her city.... She wants to be like him and be a hero too, and make everyone feel safe and help people! I have your action figure!
Schoolmate and fellow comic book fan, this guy is cool. They vibe well. (They are also, unfortunately, arch nemesis, though neither realize this.)
Annie is curious about the infrequent visitor and often attempts to encourage him to integrate more with the town. She wants him to act more like a part of the community; it's not like the town doesn't already consider him to be!
Whenever he comes to deliver things to her inn she always tries to engage him in conversation, but he always says he's busy. What a shame! (Annie, you talk SO MUCH and he is working...have mercy.)
Annie is a friendly and dependable woman who has made her inn a center of the town. She's nice. Tori respects her.
.... He's sleepy though. A lot. And she has so much energy, and he wants to converse with her but he's so sleepy and she doesn't let him go and.... Sleepy.
Sorry.
Heather is extremely attracted to Juliana, and thinks she might be falling in love.
A new friend, who she's also trying to sleep with. Heather helps her begin to face some of her emotional problems.
Summer spends most of the story only hearing about Eve via Heather, mostly in the form of complaints. Summer recognizes her as a rival in love as well as a worse-functioning mentally ill person, and Summer feels a sense of superiority over her.
When Summer becomes mad at Heather she ends up visiting and purposefully does/says things that will make Eve feel anxious and uncomfortable.
Eve spends most of the story only hearing about Summer via Heather, and feels a bit nervous about this new friend due to her own feelings of inadequacy.
When they do meet Summer immediately unnerves her (but she doesn't know why??) and then triggers her. Eve feels like a bad person for having such a poor reaction to Heather's friend.
Heather starts out enjoying Summer's company, and is grateful to have someone queer to talk to about Eve. However, Summer's just a little too enthusiastic for her tastes, and Heather naturally ends up gravitating toward other people she clicks with better.
When Heather finds out how Summer has been scaring Eve, she gets Absolutely Pissed.
She is deeply in love with Heather and feels entitled to her affections, especially considering Heather is a lesbian and the only other girl she seems to like is inferior to her. Summer's trying really hard to express her affection and show off how interesting she is.
Also my fursona!
