Did I Dissociate?

General DID info:
Anyone labelled (System) in this folder has Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Some might be more familiar with it's older name, Multiple Personality Disorder. While it's a reductive to simplify DID to just this, the most recognized symptom of DID is having multiple minds living in one body.

There's a lot of specific jargon within the DID/larger plural community. Someone with many minds living within one body can be referred to as a system (also a multiplicity, plurality, etc). The most technical term for these various minds is 'alters', which is the word I prefer to use (however, many within the community dislike this word due to its early connotations and misconceptions, and might prefer synonyms like 'headmates,' 'systemmates,' 'parts,' etc). When a specific alter is controlling the body, that alter is 'fronting'.

The characters and overarching story in "Did I Dissociate?" are all based on my experiences as someone with DID and the experiences shared within the community. I do not believe it is fully representative of all people with DID or all people who identify as plural. It's just for fun! :)
