Trigger Warning: Mental Health Disorders
TLDR: Treatment was postponed from November to January (today)! Characters for sale to help with finances while on leave of absence from work. Hopefully getting a service dog in 2023. <3
The treatment center I was scheduled to go to in November told us that I needed to address my eating disorders first since I had relapsed. We successfully found a center for eating disorders. I'm doing a partial hospitalization program starting today! It is estimated that I'll be in treatment for two to three months minimum. We decided I would start in January due to my insurance deductible being $2,000 and it restarts every January. Instead of $4,000 now we'll be paying $2,000 for my treatment before the insurance covers everything for 2022. Meanwhile, I have been seeing my integrative psychiatrist and family practice physician once a month. I've been having sessions with my life coach and my nutritionist bi-weekly minimum.
All of the money from my character sales has been put into a savings account to still help my husband cover our financial responsibilities while I'm on a leave of absence from work. I put in overtime at work in November and December as well. We believe we have a stable plan for everything without going into debt! I'm incredibly thankful to have such a supportive husband during all of this. That being said, I do still have 85+ characters available. Again, all of the money is going towards my treatment and bills during my treatment.

My long-term goal for 2022 is to begin saving up for a psychiatric service dog prospect to hopefully get in 2023! This service dog prospect would be for my chronic anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic obsessive-compulsive disorder, chronic bulimia, and severe pathological use of sugar, flour, and other processed foods. Since November I have been talking to my psychiatrist about the service dog prospect. I've made a list of tasks that could be trained to assist me with all of my mental health and eating disorders. The money I'm saving up for a service dog prospect is for the overall cost of the dog, veterinary emergency savings, service dog training, and other general costs associated with having a dog.
I'm super excited, nervous, anxious, and ready for today all at once! I feel like I've been waiting forever.
Starting the second week of November I'll be going to a mental health facility for residential treatment to address my mental illnesses. It's estimated right now that I'll be there six weeks minimum. After I'm released I'll be doing intensive outpatient care three times a week. During that six weeks in hospitalization, I'll have to take a leave of absence at work. This means I'll have no income and all financial responsibility will fall on my husband. I am selling almost ALL of my characters (including litter puppies) to help my husband pay for my medical bills while I'm undergoing treatment for my mental illnesses.
