but in real talk, like i was watching the new podcast episodes and realised this kind of felt like the one time where i got every reference, i knew everything people were talking about in the comments and i felt in place?? i can read fics and they make little comments and i know what theyre talkign about
i dont think ive ever had that with any other fandom or place, ive moved so much that i was always the new kid everywhere i went, so irl i never fit in anywhere where i would know a friend like their other friends yknow
but through all my depression and my (current) anxiety and struggles, hermitcraft has been there since i started watching in 5th grade i think

i made 3 (the firsts not really one but whatever) but its so fun??? like im makign another... ive made 3 in the past 2 days...
at the moment i didn't have any hyperfixation, and i didn't know i was neurospicy so i unknowingly hooked onto the show i was watching.
i am not exaggerating, genuinely not kidding when i said i watched 3-4 hours of the show a day. one in the morning and 3 four 4-5 and 7-9. id do other thigns but that show STAYED ON. ALL THE TIME.
i physically couldn't do anything else. it got to the point where i recited episodes word-for-word in my head when i was bored
not to mention weekends..
anyways i knew about fanfictions(i descovered it WAY TOO EARLY as a kid) but i never thought it would be its own fanbase, neither did i look. because being in a fandom that im (debatably, more attatched to) constantly writing fanficition for(hermitcraft), i have a feeling that my hands would have never left the paper on that one
and so i finally had the confidence to look at the fanbase on tiktok, and oh my god it exists
i actually was scrolling on ao3 once cuz i was bored and came across a fic for b99 and i got so surprised- i freaked out because i was afraid id get hooked back into my unhealthy attacthment into it again but damn it looked interesting
anyways after today i think im finally okay looking back at it again (i had to tear myself away from it) and the fandom is still going strong 😭 thank god i didnt have tiktok back them geez
also turns out the ship i really liked back then is very popular and CANON??? bro
also everyone apparently thinks the cast is extremely hot and i think thats funny
