Echoed Mist
The fog is here to remind us that life is not quite black and white.
The city of Neblinus has two things in abundance: a beautiful clear view of the stars and space at night, and a perpetually misty skyline in the hours of the morning. Most people say the mist and fog are from the abundance of flora in the city that make the world easier to breathe in every day. Others, a far rarer few, claim the fog is the work of a malevolent deity that hibernates beneath the city streets avaiting the day it rises to consume everything around it...
The citizens don't seem to mind the vocal minority, living out their lives to the fullest. Unfortuntaely for the sleepy civilians, though, the peace has been disturbed. People are going missing, and several contamination zones are sprouting within the city's limits. The contamination would be no issue, if these zones did not continually grow outwards of their points of origin, consuming all living matter it touches.
This story is a personal project culminating several personal life experiences and attaching them to the main characters. These characters are explicitly hybridized anthropomorphic creatures. There are no humans. I killed them
Chicha Chicha is a simple Mardillagon that found the city of Neblinus by chance wandering through life. Fae managed to find a job as a deliverydragon that prides faeself in their spotless record. Flitting from cafe to cafe in faer free time, life is a blissful experience despite all that happens around faer. And nothing is better than peaceful bliss, until it is so rudely swiped from under faer paws.
Todd is known by the entire city as its most problematic neighbor, and that's just how she likes it. Todd is a renowned metalsmith, skilled in crafting trinkets and jewelry with a mastery all artisans could only hope to achieve in their lives. The only issue is, then, that she has a nasty habit of butting into other people's business. And Chicha is Todd's favorite target.
