Siloport

Slug World takes place during the 80's, in a town called Siloport on the west coast of North America. Furnace newly moves to Siloport after an accident looking to restart her life. One day in an unstable scrapyard, Furnace accidentally triggers an event that disfigures her and spawn the Slugs into the current universe. The "slugs", an inter-dimensional animal species, who live in a hollow cave under Siloport called Slug Cave, have plans to expand their domain, at the threat of structure and ecology damage in the town, triggering natural disasters, and at the threat of eventually expanding over the world as they keep intaling resources. Despite that, the Slugs are curteous and attempt to cooperate with the human world for expansion, with no malicious extent. The current resident of Accordion Estate, Chris Accordion, experiments on the Slugs to look into their potential abilities that can cause ego death, and reincarnation. Furnace puts her efforts into trying to stop the Slugs and send them back to their own dimension. This reads more like I'm trying to pitch you a videogame plot I will fix this to be shorter and to not leave any cliffhangers.
