What design was it by chance? For commercial usage, yes, there is an extra fee for usage but that's a one time payment and you'd be all set from there ^^
Oh them! For commercial use, I do require a fee but afterwards, you can do anything you want with the character! Use it for merch, animations, published stories, etc.!
