ALTUS

Temporary name for Zakari's and the others' story.

Futuristic dystopian Earth setting, cyborgs, androids, very Deus Ex: Human Revolution like but more advanced and off the deep end. Aliens are involved. The government is rotten to the core. Everything is a mess. 

ALTUS itself is a massive city suspended about 250m above the ground, kept afloat by a massive central pillar and smaller, edged and multijointed pillars coming from the mid sections and spreading towards the outside. The undercity and the upper city are linked but passage from below to above is forbidden. While the top is highly advanced in terms of technology and quality of life, the undercity is home to the less fortunate and those fallen into ruin. 

Periodically, the wastes from broken down machinery, items and robots is discarded and falls from the top in several scrap heaps scattered around the outermost part of the city - scavengers here find their small fortune and build up a living, repairing what they find and selling it back.
