It’s been a long day…
There was a harsh cough and the two looked back at the guards. The right most door stander had a hand over their mouth, eyes shut like they had just sneezed.
“Seeee, I’m not the only one who thinks it’s cold,” a large plume of frozen air came from Astin.
“Fine, it might be true,” Ember said quickly, attention back on the door.
He was confident there was no immediate danger, but staying alert was priority. Who knew what dangers lurked in the shadows of this massive place.
“Let’s hope we can even get an audience in the first place. I hope our journey was not a waste of time.”
