Hey there!
Iiii don't know how many mutuals/friends and such follow me. OR if other followers really know DKSJHF I don't post much on here buuuut, I've been invested with Toyhouse more this year! SO...I did mention in a previous bulletin I'd be announcing something important.
Let's get into it! (Long post ahead - I'll add a TLDR xD )
First off, we like to say we have DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder, previously known as Multiple Personality Disorder in the previous DSM. DID is the new name) So when I refer to myself as "we" or "us" , etc. I am referring to US, our system, our entire being. Now why is this important? WELL. For about 12 or 13 years; we've had our host; Jude, be in charge of our accounts. He was the one who mostly had all of these OCs you see on here. He's been host since we were about 13 or 14 years old, where we had more of prominent place on the online space. Alongside growing up and creating the OCs we have!
BUT now Jude has gone dormant, after being host for so long. Now...you may be asking...what does this all mean? Let me explain! (I may use parts and alters, but they mean the same. We use "parts" as it's apart of our healing journey. THOUGH some systems do not like that, everyone is different.)
❓️What is a "Host"?
In DID terms, a "Host" typically means a part/alter that is more in the "front" or the one who controls the body the most. They are the ones that live daily life with barely any issues.
❓️ What is Dormancy?
Dormancy is when an alter/part no longer fronts and is undetectable from the rest of the system.
❓️ Why do alters/parts go dormant?
Basically being overwhelmed by the responsibility of handling the system and life. They can feel afraid and just need a break from the struggle.
❓️How long does dormancy last?
From our little research, dormancy can last up to a few months to a few years
❓️ Is the dormant alter/part mean that they're dead?
Absolutely not! Alters can't die as every part is apart of ONE person. ALTHOUGH, dormancy can often FEEL like death. It's common for other parts/alters to grieve over a dormant alter. Along with outside people, like friends and family that may know that part.
It often feels like death, even though you can also be aware that's not the case. It's still a natural feeling to feel grief.

Jude has gone dormant due to the stress of being host, the memories they carried, the added stress to life events, and just living life in general.
Jude has been host for about 12-13 years, understand that's a loooooong time.
He was formed when we were about 13 or 14 years old.
As our the host before him couldn't handle living with the trauma we grew up with.
Which was why Jude was made, to carry the old host's traumatic memory as we were punished for behaving differently.(It was also sometimes seen as demonic)
Now, Jude has also gone dormant: he can't handle living with the trauma, they are just overwhelmed by life and need a rest.

Alright. With all this, where does that leave us and you all?
WELL. Me (Cress), Calli and Mayhem have now taken over with being host. Mainly me, BUT Calli and Mayhem are also frequently around to help out.
Our communication and connection that grew between us; helps keeps us together and even sane at times haha Which is also why we think we're fit enough to fill in the role while Jude is resting.
Although we're not Jude...
We may have similar tastes, know some inner jokes among the group, have memories with you all.
But we are not exactly like Jude.
Yes, we're all one person. It's healthy for our system recovery to think of ourselves as "one", it's not true that alters are completely different people.
We may have different views, perspective on others, and such.
But we're not an entirely separate being from our original self.
Think of a plate and you drop it.
All those broken pieces, which one is the original one?
They all are.

As for TH? We'll be using it! Uhh....our current pfp and sona is Jude's...so we will be changing it... EVENTUALLY. The pfp can stay for awhile just bc it's from Nightrizer KJDSHFS BUT, this guy will be our mascot for the whole system! (Thank you, Teelia!!)
We'll also have individual sonas for each part. (Like MEEE aka Cress, Calli and Mayhem) AND we'll be making our System folder more public,,, SCARY BUT YUNNO, to be more open is to let more people in our lives
Onto other updates,, APOLOGIES IF WE OWE YOU ART STILL!! We're slowly working on our queue!
Life DOES get in the way and since beginning of this year; our grandpa had fallen so ill he was flown out to the city. He's now bedridden and needs to be taken care of. Needless to say, he's near the end of his life... we've been grieving and dealing with the feelings + memories that go along with such a hard situation. Our grandpa was an active man who unfortunately got cancer, which they also can no longer treat due to his state.
So, the plan is to just make him happy and comfortable as best we can. (And dealing with a dysfunctional family during this time as well....) We also work in homecare, and are his worker. It's been terribly hard on everyone in the system and everyone in our family.
We would LOVE to one day just move away from the town that holds all of our traumatic memories as well, we've been working on it but we also have terrible spending habits! ;; (Working on it but it takes awhile,, slowly but surely) We hope to just apply to housing while we work on ourselves more, get a license, learn to budget, etc.
That's our life so far, our 2025. CHAOTIC AS HELLLLLL. But we are hopeful, we are confident we'll power through this and gain control over our life once more.
TDLR;
- DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) update: Jude (our old host, that many of you may have known) has gone dormant or "asleep" due to all the stress/trauma. WE, their other parts, are in charge! New mascot/sonas, new public access folder to our System folder on here. If you'd like to know more, feel free to ask or look at our carrd!
- Owed art and such will take longer - APOLOGIES!! Grandpa is old and sick, and we are working on art when we are not taking care of him.
- Plans on moving out, eventually...working on ourselves more to be more independent
