The BEATLES
Is Equal To The Love You Make.
Hello Hello!
Please note the name and profile theme are purely for fun, I am not affiliated with Apple Corps or Capitol Records, nor do I claim any rights to the name The Beatles or their legacy. I'm just a fan, nothing more.
I comment on other Beatles themed profiles, all in good fun and usually I'm quoting lyrics! I also like to wish people a happy birthday, from me to you. This account is for storage purposes, should I ever need an extra. My main account is CIFUR
I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello.
TRIVIA
- On April 4th 1964, the entire top 5 spots of the Billboard Hot 100 were occupied entirely by Beatles songs. The songs were Can't Buy Me Love, Twist and Shout, She Loves You, I Want To Hold Your Hand, and Please Please Me. The Beatles are the only artists to have achieved this.
- One of, if not the most, expensive records ever sold was formerly owned by the bands drummer Ringo Starr. His copy of the white album was the first press (No. 0000001). It sold at auction for $790,000, much more than originally anticipated.
- The first live satellite broadcast ever was an event called "Our World". The song "All You Need Is Love" was written by Lennon for the event, and performed by The Beatles. They went live at 8:54pm London time.
- The word "Love" is used 613 times across all their songs.
- The Beatles were active from 1962-1970, in that time they released 12 albums (Let It Be would be 13, although it was released post breakup) and 118 original songs.
- Every member of the fab four went on to have successful careers following the breakup, forming their own bands and starting their own projects.
-
The Beatles as a group were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.
John Lennon was inducted in 1994; Paul McCartney in 1999; George Harrison in 2004; and Ringo Starr in 2015.
