Barewillow is a rather small, but florishing town ran by the Farwell's, heir of which is a Bunty Farewell.
Bunty is one of first groups main protagonist alongside Henry Edwards, her best friend. Her cousin Tommy and his partner Castor are also a part of this group. Gabriel is the child of Bunty and Henry, conceived as they both wanted a child but didn't want any other partner. They platonically raised him together.

The next main group is the family base of Henry, Varen & Daniael as well as their pet Max. Daniael's close friend Binx often joins in on their chaos.
There is also Florian Reed, the friendly and a little exhausted book store and cafe.
