When they're worlds we're destroyed by Vixin they were given a chose by their respective Guardian "You can either parish with the rest of your world or you could become a warrior of the multiverse and help other worlds avoid your world's fate."

They're not Guardian's themselves nor are they as powerful as one, but they are stronger, and faster than any mere mortal. They help the Guardian's wherever they can and maybe if they play their cards right they'll be taken in as one of the Guardian's apprentices and train to become an actual Guardian.
