Vague Synopsis: Avathar is a prince and his uncle pines for the throne. Kainem, brother to the king, takes the throne by framing the neighboring kingdom for the murder of King Abelyon, and his wife, Queen Nephele. Kainem also attempts to kill Avathar to secure his hold on the throne. Avathar escapes his own kingdom with the aid of his friend and bodyguard Resh and the pair of them stumble into a quest to save their world with a ragtag group consisting of a mage-in-training, a dragon-for-hire and her dark elf wife and a literal star.
