Uncommon
These are the more uncommon, or lesser seen models of trackbacks. These models include launch, dueling, gigas, wing coasters, boomerangs, wild mouse coasters and zacspin coasters. Uncommon to rare traits that these dragons can have are the presence of ears, and webbed talons (moreso a trait in water/ocean-based coasters that, oddly enough would rather swim than fly despite it being a risky activity for their kind.)
“generally kind hearted and larger than their Hyper Coaster brethren, but they, are by every aspect, more intimidating; this variant features a similar shape to the Hyper Coasters, with membranous wings and the iconic arching necks, which are often quite thick.“ -Unsafe Voodoo
Giga coasters’ wings are very distinct from the standard build. In order to support their massive size, their wing membranes trail down their tails like that of many metallic dragons in the DND world.
“A bit on the smaller side, these backflipping coasters make use of their properly proportioned weight to perform instantaneous turnarounds. That is about the extent of their grace, however, for in any other instance, these coasters are a bit clumsy and rough.” -Unsafe Voodoo
Boomerangs are also usually classified with similar horn shapes, which is a more uncommon thing in the Trackback world. Of course, they are still notably different shapes when you look closer, but it’s with the same general idea. Their tails are shorter and are often curled in and their wings are a more hand-like shape than regular dragon wings.
“They are cunning and elegant; they have perhaps the largest wingspans in a body-to-wing ratio of the tribe, holding their ability to perform near-misses above most any other skill. Their bodies are also lined with a soft membrane which allows them to fly farther and faster without beating their wings to stay aloft.” - Unsafe Voodoo
Flying Coasters are often grouped with Wing Coasters because they are practically the same class all in one.
“known for their incredible ability to reach high speeds in the matter of seconds and often wow crowds of other Trackbacks with their quick propulsions; this variant features long and agile bodies and membranous wings similar to Hyper Coasters, but the Launch Coaster’s nimble spine and light weight allows it to reach over 100mph in just over three seconds” -Unsafe Voodoo
Launch Coasters also have very powerful legs to boost them up into the sky, sometimes they can be of smaller size, but they are also very similar and most related to the hyper and inverted variants.
A subclass of Launch trackies of which are capable of flying in an almost eastern dragon style fashion. They're most well known for their heartline rolls while doing loops and are very nimble. Their bodies are a more snake-like version of the regular launch trackback with limbs easily able to tuck to their sides making them look almost like a floorless model from far away. The big differences between this subclass and the regular Launch is that they are smaller than their launch coaster counterparts and are wingless! Their scales react with the air around them, treating it like water, so they look as if they're swimming in the sky. But they cant do so for long because the majority of this ability comes from the momentum in their launch. Think of it like the gliding snake (chrysopelea)
“These dragons are typically two, separate-minded dragons with a peculiar sort who have a unique ability to fuse themselves into a duel-headed hydra. While their bodies become one, they still keep their individual heads, resulting in a two-headed Trackie with an impeccable silhouette.“ -Unsafe Voodoo
“They are quicker, more agile, and far smaller than any other coaster variant, save the Kiddie model; able to maneuver sharp turns at the drop of a pin, this variant often sports flat tracking that allows for seamless areal slithering and a jovial, childish spirit.“ - Unsafe Voodoo
Ironically enough, wild mouse coasters look a lot like mice themselves, with rounded ears (ears being more common within this group but not always present) and small, nimble paws that can pick things up with better ease than most other dragons)
“Perhaps the most confusing model on the Isle, the Zacspin is known for its ability to perform incredible feats of flexibility. With the most agile spine of the tribe, Zacspins are known to be able to lace around their own body, slipping in and out of their own serpentine trail without tying themselves into a knot. They are also very tricky and can weave themselves through nearly any tight space— even for a coaster of their size. Zacspin propulsion derives from the dragon’s body-spiral flight pattern.“ -Unsafe Voodoo
Spinning class and Zacspin class tend to be grouped together because of their shared traits and tendencies
